As with many of us, Becky Norwood has a story to tell. While she has lived a rich and multi-faceted life, she’s had a fair share of obstacles to face and overcome, often struggling with depression and low self confidence before coming to a place where she felt true joy and fulfillment.
While she was raised in a family of entrepreneurs and was expected at an early age to participate in the everyday responsibilities of the family business, there was also a dark side to her early childhood that include being sexually, emotionally and physically abused by her father.
Earning a PhD in the school of hard knocks and experience, Becky has come to thrive in spite of her past.
By the time she was 18 she ventured into her own business. Her experiences of business ownership included a painting and wallpaper business, specialty floral business, gift basket business, saw blade sharpening business, travel business...and don't laugh...a lingerie business. Even as a single mom, she was able to provide very well for her two children.
Through a lifetime of successful business ownership, Becky has developed a knack for helping business owners grow and flourish even in difficult times.
And while this is an accomplishment for her, she feels that her greatest healing and success has come from her “telling her story” in “The Woman I Love,” and is currently writing a series of books in support of victims of sexual abuse.
Because of the impact telling her story has had, Becky says that “Each human alive is a constantly unfolding story, a hero in a novel that no one else can write.” She also feels that we owe it to ourselves and to future generations to speak our truth, tell our stories…thereby leaving a legacy.
Now she works with others to help them to put pen to paper and craft their own story and getting them published. She has taken it further than that.
Her interests expanded as she realized the value of taking advantage of the many tools of our digital age and found the platform of Authorship to be a key ingredient to establishing expertise and authority in any business or niche.
In harmony with her passion, Becky teaches an ongoing class called Journey to Authorship. This class has produced a number of authors. The key to the success of the class is teaching the marketing aspects of book publishing, beginning from the moment the pen hits the paper and continuing throughout all the writing stages.
She guides her authors to dig deep and create supplementary and sustaining revenue streams by complimenting their original masterpiece with workbooks, journals, devotionals, and even coloring books.
From there, they learn to create products, and training courses with membership sites.
She is the author of “Create Your Business Buzz”, CoAuthor of the International Best Selling Books, “Your Epic Book Launch” and “Publish Yourself to Wealth,” and a “Networking Journal.”
“The Woman I Love: Surviving, Healing and Thriving After a Childhood of Sexual, Emotional and Spiritual Abuse” is being released in August of 2016, to be followed by “We Choose to Thrive” and “The Woman I Love: Daily Journal.”
Becky lives in Arizona, with her fabulous husband Mark, and enjoys a blended family of five adult kids and 8 grandchildren.
She loves family time, camping, crafting, cooking, learning new things, and helping others find their joy and happiness.
