I had the same issues as the first, the multiple point of view shifts, and the long descriptions.Again after slowing down and getting back into the groove of the authors' style, it came together once again.
Ash had so many obstacles to overcome. I love the fact that she is a character separate from the other leads in the story. Her troubles are not just about the man in her life, but about internal struggles, physical and mental.
MacTire is a great add to the storyline. He is proud and regal yet still has a vulnerability about him. Even though I wanted to hate him, I couldn't. His bravery and brawn won me over. I enjoyed his character and hope to see more of him.
Connal continued to be an outstanding character. Tormented flawed and forever desired. I really want to know more about him and the Morrigan. The Morrigan character is creepy and a total wildcard at this point.
The other characters all have great detail and great scenes. The other Formorian all have great depth. Every family has one, it was great to see this family had the crazy Uncle too.
The romance was still alive and well and hot as hell. The storyline is rich and detailed and once again I was left wanting to read more.
I can only hope the next book in the Becoming Series is coming very soon.
I read over 100 books in 2013, from Bikers, Military Ops and Serial Killers to Shifters, Vamps and Fairies…I don’t discriminate as long as there is a sexiness, mystery and a story line that keeps me up past my bedtime! I’ll try anything!
I wish you good reading!
