"Becoming Milla Blaire: Anomaly" by Candice Stockstell

Candice takes you on a wonderful magical and wildly unexpected adventure in this intriguing novel. I was astounded with questions upon questions about what was happening to this girl as I was drawn in, deeper and deeper, the more I read. The author presents situations to her characters which makes you think about the situations. She makes you think how you would react in those situations. I can't help but think that the list of adjectives you could use to accurately describe this novel could take up a whole page.

I found myself laughing at times, on the edge of my seat at others, captivated at many points, and most of all is that element that every reader looks for in a great book - that you want to be there in the story. In parts of the book you hope you never see anything ever remotely close to what the characters go through or experience. Other parts you want to walk through and smell, taste and enjoy it with the characters.

The book is intelligent as it seeps inside your mind and causes you to consider reality, perception, truth, honesty, redemption, and true love. It tickles your brain while it tugs at your heart all in the course of a brilliant story that is new, fresh, and very imaginative. I can't wait to read the next book in the series and the depth of the writing leads me to wonder what else this author has done. I will be following her writing as a fan from now on.

First off the book was long which i like but it goes so fast that you don't want it to end. It was exciting from beginning to the end and i loved the characters. If you like paranormal with a twist that is not part of the norm you will love this book. the female lead was a black woman who meets a handsome man who at first annoys her but its like when you were kids and the little boy who always pulls your hair or teases you because he likes you. i enjoyed the book and cant wait until the second book comes out.

This was so predictable. Not a very good story and not a very good plot, if there was much of one at all. It was always about the main character and how beautiful and successful she was. There were times I wished she would have gotten killed in the storyline.

When elements of the glitz and glamour of high society living cross with elements of the supernatural and secret societies of another world, you can expect lots of surprises. Candice Stockstell does a great job of keeping you guessing at what is going to happen next in part one of her series. She certainly does a great job in setting up the highly anticipated sequel to Anomaly by leaving so many questions unanswered and pushing our curiousity as to what will ultimately happen to Milla, her new love, and all of humanity. Be prepared for quite a few twists in the story and an ending that will make you incredibly anxious to read the next installment in this series. Definitely a must read for the Sci-fi/romance/supernatural-war enthusiast.

This book is a compelling first person narrative combining secret societies, alternative history, neurological theories, super human engagements and American celebrity culture. I found it to be unique and thought provoking. The author has set a fine stage leaving much to be desired for the upcoming additions. Very much looking forward to Transcend.

The hero is the kind of girl you'd like to slap and then cuddle. She's a product of her families affluent lifestyle and in spite of many appearances to the contrary, she still has a good heart and a sense of right from wrong. Milla needs a sense of belonging and somewhere other than her own family. The plot twists this way and that, dropping clues in all the right places so you expect the conclusion to be the usual kind of contemporary genre..nah...Can Milla Blaire save us?...I hope so...

I've just finished reading my copy of "Becoming Milla Blaire: Anomaly" and I must say, it was a great story. New author, Candice Stockstell, has done a wonderful job with the writing of this fictional novel plus, she has set the stage nicely for the next book in the series: "Transcend." (Which, just for the record, I'm very much looking forward to reading...)

The plot/storyline found within "Finding Milla Blaire: Anomaly" was interesting/captivating, the character development was good and the writing skills were top-notch however, there were some minor spelling errors throughout the book. Thankfully, these rarely detracted from the tale and honestly, "Becoming Milla Blaire: Anomaly" was a challenge for me to put down once I had started reading it.

In "Becoming Milla Blaire: Anomaly" we meet Milla Blaire; rushed and harried, and running late to yet another over-the-top social function with her perfectly coiffed and well behaved family. Milla is fed up with the limelight, the paparazzi, the fans and...the fakeness of it all. After being needled by various family members once too many times at this event, Milla loses her patience and then her temper, and causes quite the scandal as she tells her family off before storming out.

Upon reaching the tranquility of her home, Milla is blown away by her actions. Realizing that she is tired of living her life by someone else's standards, she rebels, and starts down the path of finding the real Milla Blaire... And... I'm not going to provide anymore of the story...better you discover it through reading the book.

In summary, a great read fictional read plus, I'm pretty certain that anyone who loves the "Twilight" series will also love "Becoming Milla Blaire: Anomaly."
