This is a much underrated song of Bon Jovi's from the early 1990's. I remember listening to it back then and thinking that this was a change for Bon Jovi, that it departed from his usual style, being a ballad of sensitivity and thoughtfulness concerning the life of a man who loves one woman but was in a position where he was tempted by many. Don't dismiss this; it's worth the price.
A ballad of a lonely man seeking redemption from his past mistakes through the love he has for the woman on the other end of a payphone (back in the day there weren't cellphones; we had payphones on every street corner). How can someone not relate to one or the other? His band has a great sound and he sings well with a pleasant voice.
