Works well for me, but has two problems:
I’ve used Bedtime Bliss masks for several years, every night. (1) The overlapping Velcro hits right on the center back of my skull and is kind of painful if I’m on my back. I tend to CUT THE VELCRO and sew the two ends together. (2) After a while, they do get a little funky on the inside, but if you wash them, they come apart. I’ve tried gluing them with fabric glue, but the outer fabric is almost paper-thin, so it just leaks through to the front and doesn’t stick to the thin foam inside.

Okay, I am going to change this reviews introduction a bit. Why? Because there has been a flood of reviews coming out lately that are written by customer/reviewers that are receiving free merchandise for a "honest and unbiased" review. I am NOT one of those reviewers. I received a question in regards to these sleep masks. I answered the question and while on this site, I looked over my first review. In light of these recent "unbiased" reviews, I realized that my enthusiasm for these masks sounded a bit spammy. So, HERE ARE THE FACTS: I like these masks. They do not make my eyelashes sore the next morning, because the masks DO NOT lie directly upon them. Simple. Feel free to look over my reviews. I have also tried BTB's Bamboo Masks as well. Guess what? I like those too! At the bottom of this post is the original review. It's kind of goofy, but TRUE. I've come a long way and written quite a few reviews since then. At this point in time, I have bought about a half dozen masks. Is that spam? I think not! Like the old saying goes: The proof in the pudding is in the eating!

UPDATE* 3/24/2015: Okay, I've had these BLISS night shades for a couple of years now. I just wanted to say that these shades are the BEST! After all this time, still, not a peep of light gets through or around these things. And comfort? If anything, their more comfortable than ever. The edges have grown softer, but the shape that keeps them off my eyes is still there. And the earplugs keeps me from going crazy hearing my wife snore like a chain saw. I will be buying another pair soon. Not because there's anything wrong with the ones I have, I just want another pair in case something happens to the ones I have. I've grown so used to them, I'm kinda afraid I might lose mine while traveling or something! END UPDATE***

I have been wearing the same cheap masks for three years. Wow...I just want to kick myself for not getting on Amazon and finding The Bliss sooner! Before, all I could find at the mall were either too cheapy, or too girly-fluffy. And the drug store cheapies make my eyelashes sore. I've been ordering from the Big A for a year or better...And just out of the blue it hit me: stop messing around and find them online!....duh! Well they have all kinds, shape, sizes, textures. It took a long time but I settled on these BEDTIME BLISS luxury black. OMG! First, they're so light you don't even know there there. They fit so well, following the cheek contours and bridge of the nose that not a "peep" of sunlight gets in around the edges! And something I was worried about; I wear a CPAP . BUT THEY FIT PERFECT. These guys at Bedtime Bliss have obviously done some serious research! No wonder their product is patented! Oh, and you can blink your eyelashes! My old set, I had to shut my eyes and then slide the old ones down. What a bummer! I feel free as a bird with these on....And the price!? Honestly I would have paid more. They even sent me a free e-mail manual on some sleeping tips. These guys are great. I regret not getting these waaay sooner.

I am comparing these, the ACF Sleep Mask & Ear Plug Set - Premium Quality Eye Mask w/ Memory Foam, to the Bedtime Bliss® Contoured & Comfortable Sleep Mask & Moldex® Ear Plugs. Includes Carry Pouch for Eye Mask and Ear Plugs - For Travel, Shift Work & Meditation.

The ACF Sleep Mask & Ear Plug Set - Premium Quality Eye Mask w/ Memory Foam, are not very comfortable on my face. When this mask is put on and worn correctly, pressure is applied to my nose which causes difficulty breathing. When I place the mask up to where it is resting right above my nose which is not the proper way to wear this mask, too much light is allowed in making it uncomfortable to use in a lighted environment. There is more comparable weight in this mask than the other mask because of the added memory foam which surprisingly does not add comfort but instead more bulk to the mask.

The Bedtime Bliss® Contoured & Comfortable Sleep Mask & Moldex® Ear Plugs. Includes Carry Pouch for Eye Mask and Ear Plugs - For Travel, Shift Work & Meditation, is very comfortable. When this mask it put on and worn correctly there is no pressure on my nose, only a very small amount of light is allowed in and I can freely keep my eyes open and allow them to wonder. This mask is much lighter than the other mask and has no noticeable memory foam in it.

In a test using both the Bedtime Bliss Mask and the ACF Sleep Mask on my wife, my wife stated the first mask, the Bedtime Bliss mask, was the most comfortable mask of the two and allowed almost no light in and she could keep her eyes open and blink comfortably. Hands down she preferred the Bedtime Bliss Mask.

I think the main problem in the ACF Sleep Mask is that the mask is meant to cover the nose as well as the eyes which the masks puts pressure on the nose and thus allows a lot of light under the mask since the mask will not form snug around the eyes because the nose is in the way. If the nose indent was removed and the mask did not cover the nose I believe less light would be allowed in and no pressure would be on the nose thus being a more comfortable mask.

I never thought spending the extra money for a sleep mask compared to the cost of one from the dollar store was worth it. Now my mind has changed. My cheap one had worn out, yet again, so I went ahead and ordered this one. Totally different experience. You can open your eyes all the way, because of the contoured shape, but all you'll see is pitch black. It has a much greater total blackout effect compared to a cheap sleep mask. You can even fall asleep thinking it's dark with all the lights on! The strap is so much more durable than a cheap elastic one. Much wider and with the velcro adjustments, I know it will last forever without becoming loose.
