The artwork by Ginger Nielson is dreamy, frothy, and enchanting. The child's room is a feast for the eyes. As each special toy is kissed, pink hearts count out the number of kisses they receive. The girl and the toys are quite warmly drawn with sleepy eyes and sweet smiling faces. Everyone is ready to be kissed and tucked into bed. After she kisses all her critter pals, our sleepy-time girl gets her own bedtime kisses from mommy, and everyone goes peacefully to sleep.
This is a darling, precious book. Everyone will be charmed by the luscious illustrations as they count kisses until they fall asleep. It's a book they'll want to read again and again—easily joining their bedtime ritual—a lovely and loving way to learn to count to ten. Recommended for reluctant bedtime toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarteners. Reviewed by Award Winning Author, Penelope Anne Cole
Every child has at least one favourite toy, but this may help teach them to look after, love and value ALL their toys, but don't expect them to keep their toys as tidy as the little one in the story!
The illustrator has done an exceptional job on the colour drawings, making it easy for the young reader (or listener) to relate to the gentle rhyming words.
This book could easily become a favourite and much loved 'toy' as well.
The adorable illustrations by Ginger Nielson pop from the page, are soft, bright, enticing and are sure to be a child pleaser. Bedtime Kisses written by Karin Larson is a resource book for toddlers learning to count to ten and also for Young children beginning to read.
I think this would be a perfect end of the day story with a soft and soothing feel that helps a child experience the bedtime tuck-in with security and contentment.
Loved this book for its overall pleasing feel and affect.
Stars and treats for this one!
The illustrations by Ginger Nielson provided a rich backdrop to Larson’s clever counting story.
Two little kisses for the grouchy hog.
This is how this gentle bedtime story starts out. A little girl kisses her favorite toys goodnight while waiting for Mommy to kiss her goodnight.
The youngest readers and listeners will love this rhyming, picture book. Parents will love reading it to them since it’s also a counting book.
