The first story, "Dolly Dear" is about a little girl's doll who comes alive at night and who helps the little girl clean her room. But was it all a dream?
"If Mom Designed the Universe" is a funny story, from a child's point of view, of what the world would be like if Mom was the creator.
I think my favorite of the five stories is "There's a Dragon in My Sock Drawer", though. It's about the things that go on in a child's bedroom to cause such havoc and grief which cause missing socks, messy bed covers, and tangled clothes hangers. I wasn't brilliant enough to think of these things when I was little.
Here's an except from "There's a Baby in the Sink", for your enjoyment:
So now I know that a Kitchen sink
Can be used for more than you would think
I suppose it could wash a dish or two..
But it's really for bathing my sister Sue....
These are fun bedtime stories, and I really enjoyed the illustrations. The girls and I will rotate this book with our other bedtime story books.
