Emmanuel Pahud, I dare to say, is the top flutist in the world, and has been for quite some time. I have heard him live and he is just fantastic. He made these recordings between 1993 and 1995, shortly after his win in Geneva and appointment as principal flute with the Berlin Philharmonic. I recently discovered Emmanuel Pahud. Wow! He is an outstanding flute player who we will hopefully enjoy for many years to come. I am easy to please, but I enjoy all the sections of this cd and listen carefully to everything Pahud plays. His tone and obvious talent is wonderful.
