I always love the story from the male POV. This was no exception.
This is one of Cat's best book to date. The companion story, Cat Haus is also wonderful. I read the two in tandem. First time reading two books side by side, but it works for these two books.
This story made me feel happy and uplifted yet was highly erotic. No horribly broken characters to overcome an insurmountable life. Yet, there was plenty to keep me entertained.
Hope there will be a book about Brady.
In this book you learn who John is. Where he’s come from. He’s a very strong man who has gone through a tragic event in his adult life. He’s someone who doesn’t play around. He’s respected by others. He’s a man who protects what he wants. He’s a one women man who has good morals. Which makes the story interesting since he has fallen for a “Hooker”, who is also a very strong woman. He doesn’t like the choice of career that Cate has chosen and John’s POV shows the struggles that he goes through with the situation he finds himself in. This makes John even more “real” to me.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone. However read “Cat Haus parts 1-3” before you read “Before Cate: John’s Story”
