It's all a little to far fetched for me to overwhelmingly recommend it. It would be a good light read if it wasn't about such a sad subject, that it at times pokes fund at.
It is a serious subject requiring compelling characters. Unfortunately, Daisy and Jack are not. She is weepy, sentimental, and overly sensitive, while he is self-centered, distant, and disconnected. Their marriage seems rather flaky. Her decision to find her husband a girlfriend seems bizarre and her handling of that mission is ridiculous. There are not a whole lot of useful lessons for her situation in this book. There is a definite chick-lit vibe.
This book never got boring for me. The writing is flawless and smooth and not over the top. The character development was easy and they are connecting. I felt a close connection to them right from the start. Daisy and Jack are the people next door. Daisy loves Jack with such selflessness and conviction. I cry with this book and felt the twinge of heartache.
This is an easy read an awesome one to squeeze in for a good heartfelt, heartwarming read that will stick with you and capture a permanent part of your heart.
