I read about Coss last year, and just read an article in the LA Weekly. This is some of the best hip hop to come out of LA since I discovered Project Blowdians and PUTS years ago. I've been out of the loop since moving to Tampa, but am trying to catch up. Before I Awoke features fantastic MCing. Then again what else can you expect from someone that hails from the same hood as Project Blowed itself? Right now, Coss is set to release his new album sometime this year, and if its anything like this piece of work, I'm copping that as well. The best track on here is "Spaceman", featuring a sweet jazz piano loop. But the album in all is off the hook. This here is a new artist that is definitely on the come up. Deuces.

West Coast Classic!

I still remember the first day I ended up discovering his album and I spotted this song called "Pot Ash". So as time went on repeatedly, this amazing song was being played on my Ipod and I finally decided to hear his whole album. Once I heard the whole album, I was so amazed by his style and wordplay. Keeping that true west coast gangsta rap alive but at the same time on a mellow note. This album has to be one of my favorites of 2011 so far. I have to rate this album 5 stars! Please check it out!
