About the Author

Courtney Cole was born and raised in rural Kansas but moved to Indiana over a decade ago and now resides in Mishawaka, near Lake Michigan. Her favourite place in the world is on the shore with her toes in the water. Although, since she is deathly afraid of sea gulls and things that float in the water, it makes days at the beach interesting. She is married with three children. She worked for a decade in corporate America, in an international marketing department for a military vehicle company. Courtney is always working on her next novel. If she isn't, then she is staring dreamily out her office window.

Courtney Cole is an auto-buy author for me after reading the books in the Beautifully Broken series. This installment did not disappoint. The characters jump from the pages and drag me into their imaginary worlds where love conquers all. Yes, I'm a hopeless romantic.

Dominic Kinkaide is the dark to Jacey Vincent’s light. This story is darker than the previous ones. Dominic seems to be irreparably broken. He is the ultimate bad boy – beautiful, arrogant alpha-male. Jacey is an incredibly strong heroine. In most romances, the heroine is usually the weakest link. Not so with Jacey. She has strong feelings for Dominic almost immediately. She feels an unexplainable connection to him. She is funny and quick witted, though she hides her own demons – she hides them well. The more Dominic tries to push her away, the tighter she holds on.

I felt every emotion while reading this book…I laughed, I cried, and loved every last page!

I read the first 2 stories in this series and was looking forward to the 3rd book. I really didn't like this one. Dominic was a real cold character who I just could not like at all. He used everyone (especially girls) because of some big secret in his past and then left them behind. He meets Jacy (from book 2) and they supposedly hit it off. In the 2nd book, she was a ditzy airhead and I was really disappointed this was her story. She did not seem all that interesting to me. They meet, get in trouble and have to do community service at the same place and this is where their story starts. The whole story we see how Dominic doesn't respect her, (groping her in a freezer, giving her the cold shoulder, then using her) and Jacy just letting him. She was suppose to be turning her life around but she seems to be okay with using her brother's best friend (who is in love with her) and letting Dominic bring her into his "dark' world of spanking and tying her up. He did this to show her how "unfeeling" he is even though you could already see this. The big secret was awful but for it to last 6 years was kinda ridiculous considering Dominic came from a great family and he had some good friends he could have talked to about it. All in all I was not impressed with this story and it did not contribute anything to the series. Stick with the first two books and even purchase the christmas story for these characters. It was better.

5 Beautiful and Broken Stars

Let me just say that if you have read this series and you know who Pax is and thought what a bad boy he is, well let me tell you, you need to meet Dominic Kinkaide. He is the ultimate bad boy. I LOVE this series. Courtney Cole can do no wrong in my opinion. I have to say that I think she out did herself with this book. This is the 3rd book in her Beautifully Broken series and I honestly think it is the best of the three. Now don't get me wrong, saying that in no means deters from how much I loved books 1 & 2, but something about this story and characters just made it the best story yet. This book sucked me in from the first page in the prologue to the last page of the epilogue. I even had tears in my eyes while reading the Author's Notes at the end. This book evoked so many amazing feelings from me. I laughed, I cried (ugly tears), I was pissed, I swooned, and I fell in love. I absolutely love Courtney's writing style and story telling. Each book of hers that I have read has been outstanding and in my opinion flawless. This book had so much emotion in it. This story was so much more then just a sexy love story, where a gorgeous bad boy meets a strong willed good girl. This story was truly about learning to love yourself and to realize that even though people make bad decisions that they still deserve to love and to be loved. This was a story of 2 people helping each other grow as individuals and as a couple. One thing I truly enjoyed was that there wasn't a lot of outside drama in the story. Yes there were 2 biotches that try to stir up trouble, but the author really nips that in the bud pretty quickly without it getting to ugly.

Wow, I just finished the book (staying up late and waking up early, and I am speechless. In my opinion, it was the best in the series so far. It had everything. I was at the edge of my seat the entire time. The book was dark, sad, heartbreaking, warm, uplifting, scary, and so full of hope and love. I fell in love with Dom and truly loved to read his personal growth throughout the book and Jacey is absolutely PERFECT for him! Maybe we can have a book now with everyone it, like a little family reunion, showing off the kiddos?!! :)
