Praise for From the Wreckage. Available now ~ mybook.to/ftw

It was a beautiful written story that had so much meaning behind it. It deserves so much more than five stars, this story will pull you in from the very beginning right up till the ending. You'll laugh, cry, and do it all over again this book will pull at your heart. ~ Angela, Swoonworthy Books

I LOVED Grace and David so freaking much. I loved them individually as giving, grounded, fantastic human beings, and I loved them together--flirty and tender and scorching hot. Ms. Collins got the perfect relationship formula just right. Then she put my heart through a shredder before somehow healing it, soothing it, and making it overflow with happiness. ~ Shelly, Give Me Books

I fell back in love with the idea of "true love". Grace and David have just that, "true love". Given the battle and nature of their coming together you have no choice but to get lost in the story or in my case the stories within the story. ~ Mayas, Reading by the Book

About the Author

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Melissa Collins has always been a book worm. Studying Literature in college ensured that her nose was always stuck in a book.  She followed her passion for reading to the most logical career choice: English teacher.  Her hope was to share her passion for reading and the escapism of books to her students. Having spent more than a decade in front of a classroom, she can easily say that it's been a dream.

Her passion for writing didn't start until more recently.  When she was home on maternity leave in early 2012, she read her first romance novel and her head filled with the passion, angst and laughter of the characters who she read about it.  It wasn't long before characters of her own took shape in her mind. Their lives took over Melissa's brain and The Love Series was born.

Review for Ramblings From This Chick. ramblingsfromthischick.blogspot.com

Before the Wreckage is a short prequel that introduces the characters in the new book From The Wreckage from Melissa Collins. This was originally part of the One collection of short stories. This short story is merely meant to give readers a first taste of the characters, and as such ends with the story continuing in From the Wreckage. I absolutely can't wait to get more of these characters and Melissa Collins set the next book up perfectly!

David Andrews and Grace McCann haven't seen each other in eighteen years. Though they both often think of each other and the night he saved her, their lives have both taken different paths. Now eighteen years later, they both wind up at the same bar on the same night. What will happen next for these two, and what have the years apart been like?

I really enjoyed this prequel and it left me hungry for more! I already know I am going to like these two, and it was clear right away that they were never able to forget one another. Despite not having seen each other in so long, they were never far from each other's mind and that told me so much about them. I can already tell that this is going to be a great story, and Melissa Collins is a great writer. I have never been disappointed yet, and I would highly recommend checking this one out to get a taste of what is to come with From the Wreckage. David is a sexy firefighter, and I know I can't wait to get to know him better!

A night of celebration and a dream so intense it feels real. That is Grace and David. Grace celebrating her teaching degree with her best friend. David out on the town after fighting the good fight as a firemen. Two souls so mended that when they are in close quarters the magnetic full is there. Years apart are about to feel as if no time has past.

My Quickie Review:

This isn't something that you'll probably want to read without planning to read the book, From the Wreckage, after it. (At the time of writing this review, I haven't yet read that book, but I plan to.) This is a novella and definitely not the complete story. It's just a great way to give more of the background of what happened between Grace and David and where they each are now.

Grace and David haven't seen one another since the night he saved her life from a fire. They were just kids that night 18 years ago. Now they're adults, but thoughts of the other still plague both of them. This is a great little novella setting up for the real story and I, for one, am excited about the possibilities for where this story may go. Seriously, a hot firefighter...I'm there.

I read this as part of the ONE anthology, but I read it again in anticipation of From the Wreckage.

Grace and David are both out celebrating, Grace for obtaining her teaching degree and David for fighting fires. They've met before, years ago when David saved Grace from a fire. They both still dream of the other, and wonder if they'll ever see the other again. This was the teaser prequel to From the Wreckage, and I can't wait to read more.

I read From the Wreckage and loved it so I needed to read this story to get more of David and Grace. It was a great short story that saw David and Grace as they were thinking about each other but before they saw each other again. It is a great beginning before From the wreckage. I highly recommend both books.

I LOVED this little taste of whats to come in From the Wreckage!

This book is really short, as it is a preview and a small piece of the larger story, but it is FANTASTIC and makes you so excited for whats to come!

Can't wait to read From the Wreckage for the full story of David and Grace!

4.5 stars. Great prequel to set the stage for From the Wreckage. Grace and David haven't seen each other in 18 years since David rescued Grace during a fire, but their thoughts still remain close. I love that connection between them and can't wait to read more about them finally crossing paths again.

Short story before From the Wreckage- It's been eighteen years since David Andrews has seen Grace McCann. One night she's in his dream and the next she's in his reality.
David is a firefighter and is always looking for Grace the red haired girl he saved once.
