"Paul Boynton's Begin with Yes is a manifesto that navigates you through all the stop-signs we face on this journey called 'life.' I'm sending Boynton's book to all my Hollywood friends with the following inscription: You can't end with 'Yes' unless you learn how to begin with it."
- Scott Prisand, Founding Partner, Corner Store Entertainment
"The timing of this book couldn't be more ideal. We're living in a world in which our systems are changing, dissolving or flat-out falling apart, and we feel increasingly stressed under the pressure to balance life, families and careers. We seem to be yearning to get back to a sense of balance, harmony and spiritual equilibrium. Begin with Yes is essential reading for those searching to get back to basics - back to balance, harmony and spiritual equilibrium."
- Tshidi Manye, "Rafiki", Broadway's The Lion King
"With warmth and encouragement, Paul Boynton places you front and center. Read this little gem, get excited, and get going!" - Joan Lunden - Former host "Good Morning America"
"Begin with Yes serves the ultimate dichotomy between a harmless word and a terrifying concept. Paul finished my nomadic twenty-year inner dialog with his wisdom and ability to highlight the ease at which changing behaviors can be had."
- Paul Venuti, Director of Development Services Sony Online Entertainment
"I keep a copy of this wonderful book in my salon to share with my clients. Many of us live by the Law of Attraction and we know that 'thoughts become things.' Begin with Yes by Paul Boynton takes the Law of Attraction one important action step further. Paul gives us a fool-proof way to renew, refresh and begin. All with a one small action word: yes. It's how I have always tried to live my life, and it's a beautiful thing."
- Roberto Novo, Roberto Novo Salons, New York and Buenos Aires

What Paul Boynton does in "Begin With Yes" is gently instruct the reader on how to bring the Law of Attraction out of the mind and into action. "The secret to a good life," writes the author, "is less about having a positive attitude and more about taking positive actions."
This is a small book, but one that has a big impact. Boynton has fashioned the book as a friendly conversation between author and reader, providing easy language and clear examples of how to take the first action steps.
"Begin With Yes" is designed to get us moving, and Boynton provides us with very simple ways of putting it all into motion. I really liked the personal stories Boynton uses throughout the book of friends and colleagues who have a "begin with yes" attitude, but I especially liked when Boynton talked about his own journey.
One passage that stands out for me is when Boynton and a friend are driving past a newly constructed home in the neighborhood, and Boynton says, "Look at that ugly house." As soon as he says it, the author realizes how negative he sounds, and he makes the shift to "Look at that house; it's not my style." This is not a major revelation, but that's Boynton's point: All we need to do to have a "Begin With Yes" attitude is to take one positive, life-affirming step at a time.
Boynton's book (with a beautiful cover design by Michael Wynne) will uplift and encourage you the next time you encounter a long line at the grocery store or an inattentive waiter at a restaurant. It has brought me much peace, and I trust it will do the same for you. The best time to start is now!
-Salvatore Sapienza, author of Gay is a Giftand Seventy Times Seven
This brilliantly conversational and short book can be easily read in an afternoon. However, its power isn't in its length, but in the simple and powerful message it contains. More than just a "feel good" book, it is presented in a positive manner that doesn't ignore the challenges in life. Frankly, if you are open to it, you will probably feel the energy of the message moving in you while you're reading!
Don't come in expecting a ton of exercises or step-by-step processes. "Begin With Yes" isn't bout vision boards or meditation practices, all that can be found elsewhere. This isn't `A Course In Miracles' Jr., or 'The Power of Positive Thinking' for Dummies, `Begin With Yes' doesn't require you to be happy or believe in miracles - or much of anything else, for that matter. All it asks is that you come with an open mind and the willingness to try something new.
Also, given the italicized questions that head each section, it's simple to find any part you may want to reread at a later time.
I urge you to read this book, and put it into use in your life.
I'm glad I finally read it. It's one of the best books of its kind I have ever seen.
For me, what makes it different is its simple, honest approach to change, transformation, goal/dream achievement, and "positive thinking".
Because Paul Boynton gently acknowledges the reader's fears and skepticism, then continues to insist that we should "...don't believe me, try this for yourself", it is easy to begin trusting this author. In other words, he doesn't use hubris filled platitudes or splash sunshine paint all over everything. He actually acts as a guide into real action... into real transformation, starting from wherever we are.
Don't be misled by the simplicity or shortness of this book. It is powerful and all the better because it is written in such a casual style, and can be consumed in just a couple of hours.
