I just received the book and the pictures are absolutely beautiful and precious. I LOVE Anne Geddes work. It already has a place on my coffee table and I can't wait to show it to my friends. I think I am going to have to buy more to give as baby shower gifts.

Was a little disappointed....there were a lot of pictures of seeds and less pictures of babies. I buy Anne Geddes because of the creativeness but was hoping for more baby pics.

I purchased this as a baby shower gift for my friend. I know she will love it. It comes wrapped in plastic so perfect for gift giving. The pictures are beautiful. What a great little accent for a nursery. The book is large and great quality. Definitely recommended.

Not sure what I was expecting. Maybe was just looking through it on an off day, but it didn't seem to flow for me. Loved some of the pictures, but overall everything seems 'off.' Was it due to it being a Kindle version? Is the printed book better? I don't know. I do have some of her other books in Kindle format and love them. Maybe this one just didn't connect with me personally.

I was looking forward to seeing more photos by anne geddes as she can take beautiful photos. However, this book is composed of photos that are more a "art" taste than beautiful or cute. With the exception of the baby on the egg for the cover and a shot of a baby in hands, the photos were just too weird for my taste.

I would only recommend this book for someone that has a more off the beaten path taste as it is just too different from the images I associate with the photographer. It is one of those books I think a person should flip through in a store to be sure it is something they want. I wouldn't have bought it if I'd done that and won't be keeping it.

This book is huge and the quality is amazing! I had a great pleasure admiring Anne's work, she is a true artist. The intro gives a little insight about the photographer's works, how she looks for inspiration, images, how much time is spent on looking for concepts and on actual shooting. I found it really helpful in terms of understanding Gedde's art

I own several of Anne's books and have to say that this is one of my favorites. She has really taken her imagery to a new level with 'Beginning's'. I enjoy how she shows not only the image of the baby or mother, but also the thing that inspired that image, be it a nest, bulb or seed. It truly is a beautiful work of art!
