Disillusioned by “Planet Strider”, I regretted that I had already purchased book one of this new series, but I decided to give it a try anyway. Disappointment heavy on my brain, I pushed through the prologue, which did intrigued me. Then my eyes lit up in chapter 1 when I realized that all of my old favorite characters from the Void Wraith trilogy were here in this new series. Wish I had known earlier, that this series is a continuation of the Void Wraith series. I’d have been so much more excited from the beginning. Then again, the happy realization hit me so hard, that I was like a kid on Christmas morning. Needless to say, I read it straight through, finishing it in the wee hours of the morning.
Enough about my perceptions. What you really want to know is should you invest in this series. The answer is definitely “YES”, though I would suggest that you read the Void Wraith series first. You can now obtain “The Complete Void Wraith Trilogy” at a discounted price vs buying each book independently.
Brave Captain Nolan is chosen to spearhead a platoon in experimental robotic suits to find out what's going on. Exciting, and face-paced, it's a fun read, that will have you searching the other books in the series to get to know the characters better.
Thoroughly enjoyed and many of the people in the book are very familiar and have the dynamic quality I have come to expect from Chris Fox's Books. First contact and the freedom of an enslaved people. Courage and honor and a touch of newfound respect. I believe some of the new characters in this book will become recurring players in this exciting and thought book.
Nice job of editing and easy to read.
