About the Author
C.A. Wittchen is an avid writer and has a personality to captivate. She has a niche for mythology and urban legends, and enjoys hunting down fresh knowledge. A wanderlust, she plans to travel the world. When she's not playing the role of a student pursuing the chaotic realm of cyber, you can find her thinking up new writing projects, conquering another circuit of burpees, or reading. Originally dreaming of being a mermaid, she's now delighted to be thought of as a being so strange she cannot be human.

Coming of age, demons, faeries, terror, happiness. All of these combine to make a good story.
Tempest sees things no one else sees. She is experiencing changes in her life, that are not making any sense to her. She decides to search for her birth father, and that seems to increase those invisible creatures she sees. Danger and terror come alive for this teenager, who seems to be stuck in the middle of some kind of battle between worlds.
This book seems written in a way that makes you think you are part of the story. It is done from the viewpoint of a teenage girl, with reactions similar to what I have seen from many teens growing up. Of course, not very many will actually see the demons and faeries that Tempest will see, probably a very good thing. While it is a long book, it never became boring to me. While parts of the story may be initially confusing, they are all explained by the end of the book.
I believe this author writes to entertain the audience. While C.A. Wittchen is a young author, she makes full use of her experiences thus far in life to bring the story to life for the reader.
I would recommend this book to readers of Young Adult fantasy. I think anyone that enjoys coming of age stories from the teenagers viewpoint would want to read this book. I look forward to more from this author.
On a more positive note, I thought your physical descriptions and world building were super pretty! One sentence that stood out to me at the beginning was “Steam tickled her lips like misted kisses.” (p 63) The atmosphere feels so light and cute in that sentence; I really love it aaah. The majority of the book seems to have a darker, more serious feel to it and your descriptions match consistently with this. But good work on the setting structure and things like that. I can definitely tell you put a lot of effort into it.
You definitely have a lot of talent and ambition and I hope you can make your dreams come true! I would love to see more of the things you've written. (A-And, I notice that you have a website on blogspot (astoldbywittchen). Is there any way I might be able to gain access to it? I really enjoy your writing style and am curious as to where the plot of this series is going.) Your style is strong and comprehensive and I hope you continue improving every day!
