Please read this and you will be hooked
The characters were portrayed with such detail that I alternated between feeling sorry for them and at times wanted to smack Kali!
Throw in a young boy who suffers from muteism due to trauma, and I was hooked! I can't wait till the next book, What We See is released!
not fair ro leave me hanging like this!
The characters lived. I mean they were so real they came off the page. The situational honesty was often brutal, it just hit you in your gut but somehow w/out being morose. I'm not one for the beat me down, drive over me w/a tractor yet I will survive Lifetime movie women's fiction and honestly this book was just shy of that. I mean there just wasn't much more you could do to these people in the realm of tragedy, talk about torturing your protagonists, Geeze Luigi done check that box.
And by the end as a reader you are left begging for more. Credit to the author because that takes skill & talent. Sincerely hoping the next book steps up to the plate.
