Noah Langley has everything that he's ever wanted, he's one of the top racers in the country, he's making his father and grandfather proud and he's got no romantic attachments. But when he goes to the doctor after he gets a concussion in a crash he finds out that he has rheumatoid arthritis, which probably was the cause of the crash in the first place and now will be ending his career. Before he can face the truth Noah decides to visit one of his best friends, Brooks, Brooks was forced to retire from baseball so Noah felt that if anyone would understand what he's going through its Brooks. But when Noah gets to town his car breaks down and he is shocked when he finds out the town mechanic Tate, isn't a male like he assumed, but a female.
Tate Mitchell is used to being underestimated, as a female mechanic, as a racer, everything. So Tate doesn't take s**t from anyone. So when famous race car driver, Noah, starts questioning her abilities as a mechanic and gives her attitude about how long it'll take to get to his car, she gives it to him right back to him. As Noah doesn't have anything to do in Carson he starts hanging around the shop. The more time Noah and Tate spend together the more they see the good sides of one another and start to develop feelings for each other. But both Noah and Tate have baggage from their pasts that they have to work through before they can have their happily ever after...
Noah was only in Carson for a few days visiting an old friend and he just wanted his car back so he could drive away as fast as he could and forget about life for a while. Noah had secrets that could affect his career and change his life forever. Even though the small town of Carson was appealing to Noah, as was his spirited mechanic, his life wasn’t his own and he had many people back home that depended on him.
Whenever I read a book in the Carson series I know I will love the characters and their romantic journey. and I am guaranteed a happy ending. Sometimes it feels like the town of Carson has a magical spell that it casts over newcomer’s who are looking for their next job, a new love or a quiet place to reflect. When it comes to Tate and Noah, she needs Noah to show her that there is more to life than work and he needs Tate to show him that there is more to life than racing. Let’s hope they can put aside their differences so they can drive off into the sunset together.
I really need to find the time to read the other books by Renee, because she delivers small town romances perfectly, and I absolutely love all her words.
Tate is the holds nothing back woman who doesn't need a man to make her life happy. But when she runs into Noah, a famous race car driver, suddenly her world is flipped on its axis and what she thought was not probable suddenly becomes something she wants more than anything--love.
Noah has never met someone like Tate, but one look at her, and her fiery personality, and he's fallen on his butt in lust with her. Now, he just needs to prove that he is the man who is more than worthy of making her fall in love with him, and stay with him forever.
I absolutely loved this book and can't wait to read more from Renee in the future!
