And then, I put the book the book down for the night and awhile walking through the house the loudest bang from another room comes and I merely jump out of my skin.
It is as if to say that all of a sudden I had become my very own version of these stories. And that, my friends, is how this book gets you.
I investigated the sound to find that it was "only" my water bottle haven fallen into the sink. But how did it fall I wonder? (Proceeds to turn on all remaining lights on the way to bed)
So with that said, this book is quite the trip. If you love open ended stories where you get to imagine what comes next than yes this book is for you! If loved creepy children's books like Coraline and the weird little doors you find in old houses, again this book should be on your shelf.
As more than a few of these take place for Halloween I am partial to say that it's perfect for reading during the month of October.
And also, that you should look behind you.
