Great Amp, using it for home theater. I changed out the fan which was already quiet and now it is absolutly silent, easy mod. this amp come with software to adjust the EQ and let me really tune my system in. very happy with this amp. I had a huge dip at 55 Hz and was able to bring a ton of it back by going into the amp and tuning it there. I attached a picture of that amp software and the result of the readings I took when I was tuning. The amp is controling the sub which is 80 Hz and under.

I have two Lilmike F20 horn subwoofers. These are refrigerator-sized behemoths that I installed in my home theater. I installed into each a Dayton DVC15 15" driver. These subwoofers are incredible and can deliver high SPL with surprisingly low amounts of power but the performance below 20Hz is fairly poor (by design) so the designer suggests installing a 20Hz high-pass filter.

Enter the Behringer NU1000 DSP amplifier. This amplifier that is inexpensive, light weight, and powerful. What makes this amp unique is that it has a surprisingly powerful DSP complete with a Windows configuration utility (no Mac version as far as I can tell). This amp, however, has an incredibly loud fan that I will have to modify or remove.

It took no time whatsoever to install the HP filter and I'm confident that I'll have no problem tweaking some problem areas in the room's low end.

If Behringer could make this amplifier silent they would have an incredible, 5-star product!

Works like a champ when it works - first one died 6 months into service (church with school, so used in fixed install PA system maybe 10-20 hours/week. Got the second one with 2 year Square Trade warrantee from Amazon (would have gotten longer if they had it (B&H has 3 years available but its only available with ADH coverage and it's 2X the cost). I've had similar issues with 3 other Behringer EP2500 Amps we have - 2 are going strong after 5 years and one died around year 2. I have the Behringer DCX2496 which cost the same as this yet is only 6 channels of DSP and zero amplifier. The 2 channels of DSP on this do the identical thing as the DCX2496 plus its now USB to your computer vs RS422 serial port which was useless, and you can use a single 4 pole speakon connector to drive your bi-amp setup via a single 4 conductor speaker cable. It sounds great, the fan is not noticeable with my 3 other amps fans running, very light weight (compared to 50 lbs for the EP2500) - like I started this review, "works like a champ when it works". I would have given it 5 stars if not for the reliability issues.

Awesome amplifier. I have had this going strong fro over a year now. I used this in a 18" subwoofer build and run it in bridged mode pumping the 650watts (I Believe) that you get in bridged mode output into my single subwoofer. I have no complaints and love the DSP function of the amplifier which allows me to boost weak rangers and tone down others to get a nice response from my subwoofer

Purchased for a passive subwoofer in a home theater. Fan is insanely loud for this application. I received two amps from amazon first one dead out of the box.. second would not work in bridged mode. Behringer will not answer the tech support line 9/10 times...They did respond after leaving a message; I tried multiple days to get through. This amp may work for some people... If you would like a usable manual or tech support.. I would look elsewhere.

Added a pair of infinity 1262s to this amp. Computer control via usb to set EQs makes it very easy and fast to make adjustments. Definitely recommend doing a fan mod to quiet it down during low volumes in movies.
