I had the opportunity to hear Jim Padar discuss his experiences at a recent Gurnee Rotary event, and immediately purchased the book on my Kindle. It is excellent. At times, it made me laugh, and at times, I was close to crying. One story especially of an event where Jim saved the life of 17 year old boy from a knife wound in the neck for three days long enough for the family to say goodbye will always be a memory of mine. There are lots of heart warming stories of this type in the book.
The book highlights that the police officers are the good guys in spite of what some elements of our sick culture may say. We need to support and honor them. Thank you to Jim and Jay Padar for their service and for writing this book. I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to learn the truth about being a police officer
