Being of Palestinian descent, I very much enjoyed this book. My grandparents emigrated from Palestine after the First World War, but, even in the diaspora, and across four generations, our family has been thoroughly imbued in the Palestinian culture, including it's fantastic cuisine.
Unfortunately, Palestinians have been deprived of their land and the ability to build a nation. But Palestinian culture has survived and thrives all over the world where Palestinians have emigrated.

As usual Amer, a quintessential Palestinian, manages to provide great insight into one of the greatest ongoing tragedies of our time in a simple, approachable, and humorous manner. A great read and a must especially for Palestine conflict beginners.
