“Being in Time” is certainly provocative, but for the most part it's 90% true and accurate.
J power is indeed quite prevalent in the U.S. and Europe. This power and influence are some of the big reasons that the U.S. attacked and obliterated Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Syria and encircles and vilifies Russia, Iran, and China. It's also one of the major reasons that U.S. border security and both illegal and legal immigration are out of control. Notice that Israel doesn't have these problems. No, with impunity the Israeli Defense [sic] Forces grotesquely shoot to death scores of unarmed Palestinian protesters at the Gaza concentration camp fence. Finally, this J power is behind much of the bizarre and inane culture wars rife throughout the country today.
Aside from some inaccurate and misleading swipes Atzmon takes at Marx and the Bolsheviks, he's generally spot-on in this incisive, incendiary, and enthralling book (I’m referring to authentic class-based Marxism, not the stupid and absurd caricature of contemporary Marxism built around dead-end gonadal I.D. politics. And as far as the Bolsheviks, see the amazing works by Professor Grover Furr). In any case, what really shines throughout is its solid explanation and dedication to a non-racist non-imperialist healthy populist nationalism. This is such a welcome take because it's so difficult to find anywhere.
Do yourself a favor and pick up, "Being in Time", it provides analyses and critiques that go beyond Chomsky and Hedges and offers controversial yet straightforward and much needed facts that must be addressed.

The events of 2016 - Brexit and Trump - broke the mould which shaped ideas of democracy, politics and social identity. In this book Gilad Atzmon argues that Left and Right have become indistinguishable and meaningless in the post-political universe in which we now live, and much of humanity has been reduced to serving the interests of big money and oligarchies. The freedom to think openly is now just a distant memory. Our Western liberal 'utopia' has turned into an Orwellian catastrophe, and the people are left bewildered and impoverished, and out in the cold. Being in Time is a courageous attempt to grasp the intellectual developments that led towards the current dystopia. The book delves into the bankruptcy of the ideological grand narratives. It explores the colossal failure of the media, academia and politics to detect and address the events that led us towards destitution. It identifies the ideologies that have planted Identitarian politics and the tyranny of political correctness in our midst. We, the people, have been demoted into mere audience in a Greek tragedy that happens to be the story of our own destruction. The time is ripe to understand it all.

Atzmon's book Being in Time is a brilliant and substantive critique of identity politics and Jewish political ideology and culture. It is an essential read for understanding and confronting authoritarianism of all stripes and colors;James Petras, Bartle emeritus professor, Binghamton University --.

This book contains excellent political and social analysis. Recommended to all who want to understand the political world and the "Jewish" phenomenon better.
While Atzmon is courageous and politically incorrect--writing what truths he thinks he can while prudently avoiding bullets to the back of his head--he hardly scratches the surface of abhorrent relevant facts. In his list of recent world-historical events, for instance, he glaringly leaves out 911--not wanting to go there in this context.
His treatment of "political correctness" is incisive. In contrast to the Athenian dialectic and tolerance he sides with, "Jewish" totalitarianism, he says, brooks no criticism. He condemns the left as idealistic dreamers--and says that the right is the faction of reality. I think, however, he misses the idealistic dreaming of the anarcho-capitalist libertarians at the core of rightist ideology that is equally out of touch with reality. He gives an enlightening account of the left's descent into identity politics and of our being in a post-political age in which mammon and oligarchic interests are served by both sides.
While generally critical of the "Jewish" phenomenon, he at times defends it in glaringly false-to-fact ways, writing, for instance, that "Jewish" tribalism is not celebrated at the expense of other peoples. Tell that to the Palestinians! He brings up "tikkun olam" a few times-- the doctrine that "Jews" uniquely know how to make the world better, something that strikes me as preposterous self-delusion. Uniquely knowing how to do the opposite would fit the facts better, to my knowledge, though I may be missing something.
Atzmon comes across as a "Jewish" supremacist, pushing the myth of a "Jewish" master "race" (though he says they aren't a race or even an ethnicity) due to cognitive superiority. The cognitive superiority claim is doubtful, not to say that their culture of scholastic excellence is not strong. Europeans created the world science and technological culture. Chinese perform much better academically. There is evidence that the group is heavily over-represented at top schools because of "privilege" and pull, a good example of which is Jared Kushner, whose academic record should not have gotten him into Harvard. (Though the same could be said of the establishment rich people in general--baby Bush's low intelligence didn't qualify him to get into college at all, much less Yale.)
I take issue in general with what I see as Mr. Atzmon's elitism. There is no "cognitive elite" that is the sole group able to think clearly, make good decisions, and that deserves to rule and garner most of the wealth.
He says that "holocaust religion"--the belief in the primacy of "Jewish" suffering--is in fact the "Jews''" main religion, not the traditional "religion" which most "Jews", to their credit, don't think much of anymore.
His quote of Marx saying that in order for the world to free itself of capitalism it must free itself of Judaism was a little gem, I thought, of which there are quite a few in the book.

Atzmon has written another fine book. Loved the first half where he analyzes dialectical politics and roots out the hidden agenda behind alt-right icons, Breitbart and Milo. But as he shifts from political philosophy into cultural criticism, his laser sword seems to short circuit and Gilad loses control We're told Tarantino represents free-thinking, logos-driven Athens against Spielberg's law-obedient, politically-correct Jerusalem. Inglorious Basterds is touted as an example of essentialist nostalgia! WTF? Then there's a defense of Sarah Silverman's "I'd kill Christ again" rant, as if it's funny for a Jew to be so openly blasphemous in an age of liberal pc timidity. Does Atzmon just have bad taste in pop culture or is he promoting Zionism's attitude of brazen defiance as a necessary antidote to globalist cultural subservience? Seems to me courage not defiance is the necessary attitude when facing dragons.

This book is excellent. A must read for anyone who feels perplexed with the false dichotomy we call the "right" and the "left", but also dissects the "alt-right" and identity based politics of hard left liberalism.
Leaves you with an understanding of the hands you don't see in action, within the inner workings of our occupied Governments.
Deserves 10 stars.

An excellent critique of political correctness and identity politics, with an exposition of how the Jewish elite rules through the use of "controlled opposition." Required reading for self-defense in our post-political era when Left/Right politics is irrelevant. Buy the book before it is censored by Big Brother.

I think Atzmon missed the boat. A step further, would have taken him to greater enlightenment. Try first part of “The Great Depression of 1990” by Ravi Batra.

What a mind-blower! Read this and you'll see examples at every turn... identity politics, victim politics... and how it's developed over the centuries showing us the direction it's headed in the future.

Gilad Atzmon talks about changes in our thinking and our political culture before most of us realise what's going on. He is my guide to laying out propaganda as miserable bits of lazy thinking that are repeated ad nauseam. Some of his conclusions are unnerving. Atzmon is authentic and does not cave in. Exciting reading.

Please read this book..you know it makes sense

If you ever wanted to know what Jewish power politics means but were afraid to ask, put your fears behind you and read this book. From the shtetls to Fiddler on the Roof to Zionism, the tribal poattern was established, and there is not one antisemitic sentence in sight. If you feel conflicted about the holocaust as religion, rest in peace, it is. Worship for it world-wide, memorials, remembrance days..it is astonishing that Gilad echoes every thought in my head and allays any fears I might have had re the threat of being called an antisemite. Thus, the existence of Israel is a natural phenomenon on the continuum, the tribe must prevail even if it is not particularly Jewish in the religious sense andis at the expense of Palestine with all it's attendant horror and genocide. As for Trump and Brexit, Gilad makes it easy to see, set your kids homework from the book, the deplorables voted for the only candidate who would take back America for them, never mind that it is an impossibility. Same for Brexit. Gilad articulates what many of us believe, so why does it take his boot in the face to shake us out of our dreaming, our so called Left reality when the actuality is staring us in our boot-free face. It's time to say it, even to our dear deluded Palestine activist friends..don't let Mondoweiss, JVP, CRIF, AIPAC etc etc control the opposition any longer. Or Palestine will never be free.

Gilad knocks it out of the park again
Reviewed in Australia on January 31, 2020
Not afraid to slay sacred cows and go where others fear to tread, Gilad fearlessly deconstructs identity politics. My only gripe is that he could use a proof reader: for instance he sometimes writes "SLPC" instead of "SPLC" for Southern Poverty Law Centre; heck, maybe he even writes Southern Law Poverty Centre at one point. But these are just a couple of typos in what is an otherwise stunning book.

A must read book for those who wish to better understand the carzy world we all find ourselves in, ignore the people who call Atzmon an anti-semite or holocaust denier etc, those people are just useful idiots or people with a racist supremacist agenda, when the establishment does not want you to question, watch, listen or read something then you best start questioning, listening, watching and reading the information that they do not want you to know.
