w/ 8 Rotating & 4 Standard Outlets - 8ft Sturdy Extension Cord w/ Flat Pivot. I first got this one for my computer setup in july2019. After about a year, my living room needed a bigger surge protector. At the time, the price was $6 less than what it is now. I considered my first purchase, and loved the quality so that is when i got a second one for my entertainment system setup. My first one, i used for my Desktop setup. I moved twice to a different home with that one and it's still running strong. I love the rotating outlets. It makes plugging more flexible. Its 8ft cord is enough for my setup, i don't have a big house but i feel like 8ft is a decent length for most setups. I ended up lending my 2nd unit of this product because i removed my Desktop setup. I'm still blown away with the durability of this surge protector. i could have kept my newer one, but i kinda wanted to see how much longer my first unit would last. I always been skeptical with Belkin, especially since their cheaper power strip blew out on me within its first week. But they did it right with this one.
Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a quality surge protector with versatility outlets for any entertainment setup. I currently have mine set up in my living room and have a good amount of machines running which are my Desktop, PS4, PS5, occasionally the Nintendo Switch and of course my 4K Samsung tv. I came from a battery backup surge protector which are significantly more pricey, and heavy. Although that is more practical, i never found the urge to want more from this surge protector by Belkin. If you consider this product, i'm sure you would love this one and wouldn't be hesitant to get a second one for an additional setup. 5/5

This thing seems great. I've got my iMac, hard drives, lamp, God only knows what else plugged in to this surge protector and it's working like a charm.I don't think it's been put to the true test yet. But I will say that at my home there have been a few mini-surges, and during one my LG TV (not plugged into the Belkin) suddenly shut off. Throughout those instances, there have been no issues with my electronics plugged into the Belk.Let me be candid here.I have half a mind to think a lot of these negative, recent one-star reviews are sinister in nature. I believe there may be some other forces at play here - ones that may not be so pleased that Belkin has a trusty, popular surge protector in the top spot while the rest take home the silver, bronze, or nothing at all.It seems like a bit of a coincidence (does it not?) that this bad boy has 5 stars, over 15k reviews, and years of quality name recognition - but all the most recent amazon reviewers are rating it straight to the bottom of the barrel. Let's just say I feel a strange "surge" in this review section - if I may speak in terms of the product at hand.But hey, what do I know? I'm just a guy with a bunch of stuff he wanted to plug in and feel safe about it.I'm a simple man.But I'm also: an honest man. And to be honest? Knowing that in my office I've got a Belkin, with its twelve pivoting outlets, convenient eight foot cord, and four-thousand-three-hundred-twenty powerful, beautiful joules?I'm sleeping well at night.

Belkin 12-Outlet Pivot-Plug Power Strip Surge Protector with 8-Foot Power Cord, 4320 Joules (BP112230-08)
The short version:
There are three total lights on this unit. The power button (orange, largest) and two smaller 'indicator' lights – one green (PROTECTED), the other red (GROUNDED). This review exclusively concerns the red light.
Promotional materials from Belkin clearly state that when the red light is ON, this indicates an ungrounded outlet (faulty wiring) and surge protection is not working. However, their warranty sheet clearly states that when the red light is ON, this indicates a correctly grounded outlet and surge protection is WORKING.
The promotional materials are wrong, the warranty is correct. Read on for the long version...
The long version:
In order for a surge protector to function properly (i.e. protect your equipment), the wall outlet into which it's being plugged needs to be grounded - if you don't know what this means, google it.
As of February 12th 2017, word for word, the red indicator light description on the official Belkin U.S. site, Amazon U.S. and Amazon Canada sites (see image 1):
"... the 'Not-Grounded' indicator light turns red to warn you when your outlet is not properly grounded."
... and the description in the common questions section of the official Belkin U.S. site for this product (see image 2):
"Red: The outlet is not properly grounded."
So according to two of Belkin's most visible online product descriptions, if the red light is ON, it indicates faulty wiring and therefore surge protection is not working.
However, in the warranty sheet that comes with the surge protector (P36504-B, see image 3), the description of the red light is suddenly inverted:
"The “grounded” light should be on when the power switch is turned on. If this light does not come on when you plug in your Belkin Surge Protector, you have a ground-wiring problem and you should contact an electrician to properly ground the outlet. Connecting a Belkin Surge Protector to an improperly grounded outlet will void all Belkin warranties."
So which is right? Here's the definitive answer...
I have two outlets that are properly grounded. I know this because I had a certified electrician ground them, watched him do the work and test everything (I'm not going to go into the technical details of all this). I also have other outlets that are not properly grounded. When I plug this unit into both properly grounded outlets, the red light is ON. When I plug it into any outlet that is not grounded, the light is OFF.
What's more, Belkin sometimes refers to the red as the 'Not-Grounded' indicator light (see image 4). The actual product clearly has GROUNDED printed beneath the light.
So the bottom line is that if the red light is ON, that means your outlet is GROUNDED, surge protection is WORKING, and your warranty is in effect. If the red light is off, your equipment has NO surge protection. And to be clear, if surge protection is not working, the unit will still continue to allow current to flow to your equipment, but is essentially just an extension cord with twelve outlets. All of your equipment is just as vulnerable as if you had no unit at all.
Needless to say, Belkin should correct and standardize their descriptions. Even though I like this product, I'm docking two stars because of the issues above that Belkin should address for their customers.

NOTA: Hay un error en el instructivo que dice que el foco de “Grounded” debe de encender cuando conectes el producto al contacto ya que si no es así hay una falla en el sistema eléctrico del lugar. Esto es un error de traducción, es al revés si el foco de “Grounded se enciende al conectarlo entonces sí hay una falla en el lugar, lo normal es que ese foco siempre permanezca apagado.
