This power strip was delivered by Amazon on 08/30/2016 and was used approximately 6 times. Circuit breaker in house blew which may have saved additional damage. FIRE HAZARD! SPARKING AND STATIC NOISE LESS THAN TWO MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE

I just purchased this and less than two months after purchase I hear a static/sparking noise if I so much as move the power strip when there is a plug inserted. I tried it with multiple plugs and while I can't *see* a spark, I can hear it sparking inside--there's definitely a short inside there somewhere. This is a cheaply made product and I wonder how it's put together inside.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT! I bought this because of the name Belkin. But as many news stories have pointed out, you have no idea who is making these products since Amazon has changed their policies and knockoffs are flooding their pages.

Unfortunately, Amazon tells me it's past the return date for this item. Terrible.

This nearly caused our home to burn down. We have had this for a couple of years. We had been smelling a burning plastic smell and didnt know where it was coming from. Then there was a loud pop, sparks, and smoke coming out of the outlet. Had we not been home, our house could have burned down.

Dangerous item!

DO NOT BUY THESE! DANGEROUS! I bought a set originally in early 2014 or late 2013, but by February 2014 one had shortcircuited and literally burned the plug. I emailed Amazon and they kindly sent me a new set, everyone agreeing it must be one faulty surge protector. However, about 20 minutes ago (almost a year later) I was awakened from a pretty deep sleep by very loud popping noises and sparks in my bedroom. I discovered the surge protector literally charred black and also the outlet to which it is plugged into. All that was plugged in at the time was a small table lamp (not turned on) and a small tabletop fan (on low). I tried to pull the plug out and large blue sparks shot out all sides. It's a clear, beautiful morning and no other electronics have issues; it is clearly the surge protector with the problem! Do not buy this! You never know when they will short out!

It melted, didn't shut off, just melted. It could have burned my house down! I only had 3 things plugged into it, monitor, pc, printer, all new. Reasonably new house. These are a huge safety hazard. I bought the 6 foot cord with rotating plug only back in late October of 2017. This could have been deadly. It melted and fused to the socket and broke the socket when I tried to pull it out. Super dangerous, could have burned the house down.

The first time I tried using this thing, it SHOCKED me and KILLED my monitor! I have never been shocked before in my life. It was pretty scary, I hope there is no permanent damage to my hand. Luckily my monitor started to work again after some time. I don't know if it was defective or what, but I wouldn’t risk it again This is a dangerous product that can potentially kill you and fry your electronics. My 20 year old power strips are much safer than this. I don't usually write reviews for things I return, but I felt I had to warn you all.

I bought 3 of these because I live in a very small environment, so there's funiture against every wall. The usual powercord sticks out the wall and I can't push the furniture against it without breaking the cord, so I needed one with a flat end.

The material looks sturdy and they worked right away, but the part you plugg in is very sensitive and doesn't always work, I have to play with the angle of the cord and if you touch it, or put a tiny bit of pressure on it (like sitting on furniture that is leaning against the outlet) it turns it off, which is a big disappointment. I've had other models by other companies in the past and never experienced this issue.

Update: It constantly turns on and off. I
constantly have to find the right angle for the rotating head, so it's not 360° rotative. I hate is because I connect my CPAP on it, which is essential to me at night.

Tonight, will I was sleeping, I awoke to this crackling sound. To my horror I found the heand of the plug producing small blue flames. I don't use it anymore as this has now become a fire hazard.

Love the look and design for the most part. Wanted something with a flat, 90 degree, low profile plug. Didn't and don't care so much for the rotating plug option which leads to my only negative comment... Apparently Belkin did a recall on older models of this design. Has to do with the rotation feature of the plug. Fixed wires are not used, instead a conductive ring allows for the rotating feature. Some customers have experienced melting plugs and other plug issues due to this feature. Tried to find more information on this but can't seem to get a straight answer on it. Continuing to investigate this issue. Be mindful of this prior to purchasing...

Exactly what we needed to plug in items behind our sofa! The plug end of this power bar is very flat and it revolves, so you can have the cord coming off from it in whatever direction works best for you.

The power bar is short with all the outlets right up against each other. So, you can plug in a full compliment of six plugs if they all are "normal" ends, but if any of them are brick-like ends you will likely only be able to fit two or three plugs into this bar. This is a bit of a let down, but we were more interested in getting a flat plug end then we were worried about being able to plug in a lot of items.

The power bar was UL certification and has holes in the back to allow you to mount it to the wall if needed. The cord is short, with the whole thing being just six feet from plug to the end of the power bar.

For us, this does the job. We can plug in two bricks and shove our sofa back against the wall.
