You. Yeah, you! I know what you're doing. You just got an iPhone 5/5s and are obsessively looking through Amazon reviews to find the best one. Okay, a lot of five-star reviews... let me see the one-star reviews... ugh, ten people said that it scratches the back of the phone/doesn't fit properly/won't solve world hunger.
I've been there. I've done the obsessing. And let me save you some time and tell you that this is the best, most well-balanced one out there.
I got a silver iPhone 5s myself in October and picked out the Blue/White two-toned one of these Belking Grip cases and haven't taken it off once.
Look, if you throw your phone from the top of your house, this probably won't protect it and you should probably stop throwing stuff off the top of your house. But minimal slips here and there, this case feels thick enough to nullify most of the force, but still thin enough not to alter the phone's sleek profile by much.
That - apart from the decent price - is a large part of why I can recommend this so heartily. Aesthetically, it's a very simple case, not too gaudy in most of its colors. It just feels like an extension of the actual phone.
As far as the reviews go, not too many people had one-star reviews to make me wary of it. Most other cases had bizarre caveats like it being too loose or having contours that scratch the actual phone. This is the most inoffensive one in that regard.
Yes, it may not have eye-popping design and it might not guard your phone from the demands of a crazy outdoor life. But if you're just in the city and you're not entirely careless, well... to reappropriate the Talking Heads, THIS MUST BE THE CASE!
