Top customer reviews
However, the one thing that is not good about it, completely obliterates the good things. In the description it says it has, "Built-in sweat protection." After only a short 3 mile run, when I took my headphones out, my phone kept showing, "Headphones connected." After taking it out of the arm band and pulling off the back cover of the phone, the interior was drenched in sweat. I'm hopeful that my only issue will be the headphone thing as it still hasn't corrected itself after several hours drying out.
Bottom line, if you're someone who sweats even just a little, I can't recommend this.
I am not a heavy sweater, but when I am running my arm sweat soaks through the thin neoprene back and seeps into the phone compartment.
Also there is no indentions made for the volume buttons and I find that the tight fit often inadvertently lowers the volume to mute unless I position the phone just right.
The description says that this gives full coverage and protection, it does not. The top portion of the phone remains exposed to falling sweat and possible rain. I actually dropped the phone while in this arm band and it landed on that one exposed spot, my first scratch on the silver bezel really pissed me off especially when I paid for this protection.
For now this is just a stop gap till they design a better more water resistant case. I am now leaving my phone in a Incipio syrlic case while inserting it in this arm band for the extra protection and water resistance.
The phone of course fits well. The Velcro stays stuck to itself (even when its all sweaty). Plus, I particularly like being able to slide the phone in and out of the case w/o taking out my headphones. Its the little things, right?
I use this when I run a 5K (once or twice a week) and during my .75 mile trips back and forth between my apartment and gym (3-4 times a week). All of these runs happen in Dallas, TX, where it is oppressively hot during the summer. I sweat a slightly above average amount. I have never had a problem w/ my phone being too wet but it is something that makes me a little nervous. It would seem that as long as you are careful and aren't doing runs in excess of 30 minutes of sweating, you'll probably be fine w/ the whole wetness issue.
No innuendos intended ;).
