They Fail at Gigabit Speeds

I use USB Ethernet adapters when doing network scans of systems. These dongles were bought with high hopes that they could allow me to scan at gigabit speeds for a lot of my work by attaching them directly to virtual machines. However, when you attempt to put the full gigabit bandwidth through them, they fail. The older version (USB2.0 F4U047) is far superior for this, I'm assuming because it's slower and doesn't get overwhelmed.

No problem plugging in and using. Worked straight away and is very reliable. USB part is very short so I had to use a USB extender - which I had available. Just another asix derived unit, but seems to be pretty well made. Comes with a 8" cable attached which is about as long as i'd like. Transfer rates via my dell xps 15 have been between 75-110mb/sec when using it at work, which is on par with the built in intel gigabit nic in the hp workstations use.
