The LEGO iPhone case is designed to protect the buttons on the sides of your iPhone 5, while keeping the ports and speakers fully exposed. Adjusting your volume, plugging in your headphones, and connecting your charging cable is fast and easy -all while keeping your case on and your phone fully protected. The best part is that it’s designed with an official LEGO Base Plate, so you can go crazy customizing it with your favorite LEGO bricks.

Fortunately, this Lego case is not big, ugly or heavy.
It fit my IpHONE 5 (see what I did there?) nice and snug and it provides adequate protection from scrapes and knocks. Is it a big, rubbery, militarized case that will protect your phone from machine gun fire and a drop from a 5 story building onto concrete and then bounce into a swimming pool? Nope. And that's perfectly fine with me. The only rubber on this case is the thin red stripe you see that runs around the perimeter which helps it fit snugly.
It actually does hold Lego pieces and they fit and hold well.
I knocked off one star because it does become uncomfortable in the hand after a while when you're talking on the phone for an extended period and the Lego "lugs" would sometime grab the inside of my pants pocket when pulling it out. Hey, maybe that's a good thing and could be advertised as an "anti-pocket-faller-outer" mechanism.
Overall, this is a nice fun case that will get the attention of both kids and adults.
On more practical matters, as a phone case, it is protective. It's a little bulkier than my usual iPhone cases, but it protects well from drops, which is good since it was being played with more and therefore bumped around a lot more often. Personally, the reason I'm not currently using it--though my son still asks me to all the time--is because the rough surface is actually kind of uncomfortable to hold, particularly when typing out emails or texting.
Practically, this is probably a three-star product, but I'm bumping it up because as a conversation-piece and kid magnet it's a five-star, at least.
You can actually build LEGOs on it!
Friends/people notice it and say "Is that a LEGO phone case? That's SO cool!" (including cute girls!)
You would think, as a 20 year old college student, people would think it's childish, but no.
I carry around a small ziploc bag with various LEGOs in my backpack. When with friends, it comes up in conversation and moments later we're revisiting our childhood.
It lasted a whole year! (The sides of the case began to separate from the main frame). But that's ok because I was so satisfied with this product that I bought another one in a different color.
It's my current case today and I love it!
If you want to create a design on the back of the case like me [see photo], the small LEGOs will eventually fall off. They don't fall off often but a design would need to be glued on. For me, personally, I just leave it blank so it doesn't look bedazzled (I'm a male engineering student).
The LEGO studs are a little rounded (or maybe they eventually get rounded from wear-n-tear) so when constructing towers on your phone, the base is loose.
But for the price, I'm nit-picking. This is great! It's my current case today and I love it!
