Wireless-N 300 Technology
Convenient, USB Design for Hassle-free Network Expansion
The Surf and Share Wireless Adapter utilizes a standard USB 2.0 bus-power interface, which means that you can use it to connect virtually any computer with a USB 2.0 port to your network. It features a sleek, black design that's unobtrusive, and an LED power and network link/activity indicator that lets you know when it's in use.

This makes it easy to take advantage of all the things that a Belkin wireless network can help you and your family or office-mates do. You'll share resources, including files, external hard drives, and printers, among all the connected computers on your network in no time--no cables or complicated setups required.

Wi-Fi Protected Setup Preset Security Settings for Worry-free Surfing
The adapter is preconfigured with 256-bit WPA/WPA2 encryption and 64/128 WEP encryption, so your sensitive data will remain safe and secure. It also features one-touch Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) means that securely connecting multiple users to your network is as easy as pressing a single button.

High-speed Performance with Wireless-N 300 Technology
Whether you're surfing image-rich websites, sending a flurry of emails, or instant messaging far-off friends, using a Belkin Surf or Share router and this adapter with your wireless-N network delivers the fast speeds that you need. 802.11n technology gives you speeds of up to 300 Mbps--that's five times the speed of G technology.

The Surf and Share Adapter is also backward compatible with 802.11a/g devices at 54Mbps as well as 802.11b products at 11Mbps.

Windows Compatible Easy Installation Gets You Online Quickly and Securely
Connecting your computer to your wireless network for the first time takes just a few minutes. Simply insert the included installation Software CD into your CD-ROM drive, follow the straightforward Belkin Wizard directions, and insert the adapter when prompted.

I first purchased D-Link DWA-130 for my desktop and I tried to install it with no success even after speaking with three different customer service rep for hours and returning it for another one.

Third time around, I bought the Belkin Surf & Share and it literally took just 5 minutes to install it to my computer. The set-up is very user-friendly with easy to follow instructions. I had an excellent experience using this product.

I bought the WD TV Live Plus [...] along with this Belkin Surf and Share wireless USB adapter thinking that it'd finally allow me to have the wireless media setup I'd wanted for a while. The USB adapter was listed on the WD site as being compatible with the WD TV Live Plus[...], but so far I've found the whole setup to be VERY iffy. I'll try to watch something on Netflix, and it'll work for about 5 minutes and then it'll drop the network connection. I go to wireless settings and tell it to reconnect to my network, and it says it can't even SEE the network. Meanwhile, a laptop is sitting 5 feet away and has 4 or 5 out of 5 signal bars.

Also, while the WDTVLP technically CAN play all sorts of files from media servers (like TVersity), network shares, etc., I've found the performance to be pretty poor. I tried to watch an episode of 30 Rock that I had on my PC which I was sharing via TVersity, and it was constantly pausing, getting out of sync, etc. I did the same thing on my PS3 (streaming the same episode from my PC to the PS3 using TVersity) and it all ran fine.

Because the WD TV Live Plus doesn't have wireless integrated, and instead relies on you to buy your own wireless USB adapter, I think it's way too easy for the companies to pass the buck if you're having issues. Call WD and they'll tell you it's an issue with your USB adapter. Call Belkin and they'll tell you it's an issue with the WD TV Live Plus (or worse yet, your router...even though other computers connect to it fine).

I'll give this 3 stars mainly because I don't know for SURE that it's the Belkin device causing the problems or if it's the WD TV Live Plus. All I know is that I'm not happy with the setup I have going, and the Belkin device is part of that setup.

I have an old Belkin G Mimo router hooked up to my wife's Mac. The wireless adapter worked fairly well with my Windows Vista machine, but when I replaced that machine with a Windows 7, I couldn't get any response. So I went out and bought a Belkin Surf & Share for my desktop at a Big Box Store (paid a heck of a lot more than this listed price) and like a fool, I tossed the packaging and receipt. It worked OK for a month or so, but then started disconnecting - repeatedly. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software(driver). I'd get a conection, but the connection was slow at best, and I continued to have "device driver problems." My laptop connected fine so I was pretty sure it wasn't the router. I finally gave up and went to a different box store and purchased a Linksys AE1200. Viola! Couldn't be happier. Fast reliable connection. I was very disappointed and will look at Belkin products with a jaundiced eye in the future.

My computer has a built in WiFi card but for some reason the built-in WiFi has poor quality signal. I purchased this and it works great! I occasionally have buffer issues with videos, however it may be the internet connection and not this card. I have used for 2 yeas without any issues.

I have an 802.11N network supplied by an Apple Airport Extreme router. (Latest generation.) It works fine with all other 802.11N hardware but this adapter gets about 0.19 MB/s when connected. (My PC is about 15 feet from the router, no walls or anything blocking the signal.)

The only way to fix this is to go into the device's settings and disable 802.11N, so the card operates in 802.11G mode. Even then it performs much worse than a normal 802.11G device. It doesn't get enough bandwidth to stream HD video, but my 802.11G laptop works just fine when sitting right next to my PC.

There are no driver updates to address the issue. The latest drivers are version 1.0.

Just finished 1 hr on the phone with Belkin India to try and make my Surf&Share Wireless Adapter connect to my dlink router. After the tech (I should say Salesperson) remotely accessed my desktop she was eager to state "I can fix your problems with one of our 1-2 & 3 year plans". So. I told her that it would be cheaper to buy a non-Belkin adapter than sign up for a 'gotcha' plan. This ply should not work in today's world. There are plenty of good companies (apple on down) where they really care about their clients.

I should have recorded the conversation for posting on here.

Terrible little wifi dongle. It hardly gets any reception, has terrible range. Great if you have a tiny apartment (I guess) but otherwise avoid this and get something that has better reviews for range and reception. My macbook air can get a great signal while this little guy doesn't even see the network.

Quite disappointed with it's performance. I purchased it for my "N" network. It cannot find it, even though the Airport Extreme is only 30 feet away. The built-in wireless "g" on my laptop has a speed of 54mbps. This Belkin's speed is only 32mbps. Another Belkin USB I own is much better, as it Will receive the "N" network.
