    I bought this pad in April 2012 according to Amazon and have been using it every day. Great pad! As expected just like all pads like this one, had the layers at the wrist come apart and had to glue it, but no leaky goo.This one will last.

    I used one of these Belkin mouse pads for several years. The wrist rest part got a little shiny from wear, but it was perfectly fine, even after seven years of daily use. After my puppy stole it off my desk and damaged part of it, I bought another to replace it. The new one is slightly redesigned but it's also great. I use it daily for working in my home office. It's very comfortable for my hand and wrist, and works fine with every mouse I've tried with it, on both Mac and Windows systems. My husband even fished my damaged one out of the trash and cleaned it up to use with a hobby system he built! I'm sure the new one will last at least seven years, too (keeping it away from the dogs).

    This is one Hell of a product from Belkin! I speak from experience because I just equipped my entire studio with these Gel Mouse Pads, that would be pads for two PC laptops with extended desktops, a MacBook Pro laptop (my wife's), my 24" 3Ghz iMac that is used almost exclusively for batch editing of photos, and my PC desktop that I am working on right now. So that makes 4 of them in service as of this week, with the one for my PC desktop being the original one I bought more than 2 years ago, and it's in perfect shape after constant use for all that time, a testament to the product's longevity, resilience, and ability to stay shaped properly for a long, long time!

    I don't know about the review of May 9 here at Amazon.com that boldly states that "Belkin cheapened the product, changed it in fact" etc etc, blatantly speaking to the quality and condition of the product the reviewer purchased at that time...in fact I will dispute that claim 100% right here and now because the products that I bought this week from Amazon.com are IDENTICAL to the product that I bought 2+ years ago, they have not cheapened anything at all, in fact I would say the OPPOSITE of that reviewer, as it is my contention that Belkin is making the product better than it ever has been made up to this time, perhaps even improving its construction and feature set since 2007 when I bought my 1st one.

    I just don't understand how/why people blatantly, boldly write things like that which are categorically FALSE and MISLEADING to the buying public, the market here at Amazon.com which is worldwide, huge, with readers from all walks of life throughout the world...in fact it sort of shocks and saddens me when I have to contend that what somebody wrote is NOT THE TRUTH AT ALL about a product, and I am in fact doing that right here and now! Do NOT BELIEVE that review, not a word of it! This fantastic gel mouse pad from Belkin is a wonderful, perfectly constructed, made product that remains the sole product of its type that one can purchase for LESS THAN $10 here (retail being $15 or so) at Amazon.com, and I wholeheartedly give it Wavey Davey's 5-Star Vote of Confidence Award, so do not be afraid of it in the least!     This is my second WaveRest. The first I bought 6 years ago. The pad looked its age and the "gel" rest material loosened at the bottom. Time for a new one. I bought this again as I find this model to be very comfortable and the pad was definitely durable. I usually work @ 20 hours per week and do a lot of photo editing recreationally, so the mouse pad gets a workout every day.

    The pad arrived in a really hard plastic container to open, if cutting it open be careful not to cut the pad itself. It does have a slight odor if you hold it up to your nose - so don't do that : ). Otherwise, when on the desk, the odor is imperceptible. The bottom of the pad reminds me of the type of surface one would use to open a stuck jar. In other words it adheres nicely to my desk surface and does not move. The dimensions are smaller than advertised, I think they give the dimensions of the package instead of the pad. The length is 10", the width at the top is 8" and at the bottom 7.5" - perfect for my slide out keyboard tray. My Apple wireless mouse glides easily over the pad and work very well.

    I tried to break up with this mouse pad a few times. I can't. It's too comfortable. So while my wife does not use any mouse pad or wrist rest for whatever weird reason -- I have found I can't live without it. I even tried buying one of these for my wife and she turned it down. I don't get it. I hate the sound of a mouse slapping on a hard surface, yet she wants to use a mouse without any mouse pad. But then again, she uses a clicky keyboard, despite otherwise needing complete silence while she works instead of listening to music like me. I guess she likes "the sound of working" with all those clicks and slapping of the mouse on the desk. I like my keyboards and mice quiet, and listen to music when working. Different strokes for different folks.

    I have replaced this mouse pad I think about 4x over the years. I probably get 3 years or so out of it each time before I retire it for a new one. It's not that it completely wears out or anything, but the wrist part can have an odor after all those hours of your wrist resting there and there's only so much you can do with cleaning it. Plus after that amount of years, it does look more worn-in. For the price, 3-4 years is quite a while and dirt cheap for better comfort if you like a wrist rest. It's a nice shape design too in both style and also in how it fits in-between things versus if it was a full rectangle design.

    As long as they don't stop producing this mouse pad, I'll keep buying it when I need a replacement!

    I had this mousepad for years and it is super comfortable. It finally wore out and I could not find it at the stationery store where I originally bought it. I found it here on Amazon. It is the same quality of the original and I actually can't tell any difference. This has really good risk support and is comfortable to work with. I believe I'm going to buy another one just to keep on hand for the future.
