Very disappointed with this device. Telescopic antenna is flimsy and opens from small to large cylinder (top end thicker than bottom end). Unplugs too easily from 30-pin connector. Poor hardware design. iPhone app works ok in recognizing unit, but scanning did not find as many DTV channels in the area (as I could get with an attic yagi), and the app froze from buffering many times when looking at any of the channels. Boxed and returned it the same day. My curiosity was satisfied. These types of devices are only useful if you literally live within line of sight and/or a few miles of the TV transmitter. You may then get all the channels available in your list. Then you have to contend with buffering issues in the h/w and app s/w making screen viewing a constant eye hiccup experience.

The Belkin Dyle Wireless Mobile TV receiver lets you watch Broadcast TV on your Iphone. Very simple to set up. Download the app on your Iphone and register. Connect the Wireless Mobile TV receiver to the 30 pin connector on your Iphone then follow the simple set up instructions. Select your city and you'll be able to watch the broadcast TV stations in your area(unfortunately some areas are not in the Dyle Mobile coverage area. See the listbefore ordering [...] ).

The only drawback I've seen is that Though it can find all the stations in my zip code, I'm only getting the same CBS and ABC affiliates I would get with my regular broadcast TV.

It is a very good picture over all and streams similar to you tube or other videos watched on my Iphone, It is great for watching the news out in the shop where we don't have a TV especially if there is a storm coming or breaking news.

There are no fees for the service and it can work thru your 4G network or thru your Wifi. You can answer incoming calls or texts too. The Dyle Wireless receiver also comes with a smart little carrying case to store it in when you're done.

It's a great little gadget.

The Belkin Dyle Wireless Mobile TV Receiver for 30-Pin iPhone and iPad in Select Coverage Areas Is only useful for a very limited number of areas and a very limited number of people. This is one of those product descriptions where you really have to read the fine print carefully.

This unit is NOT an external antenna with a standard television receiver that interfaces with your 30-pin apple mobile devises. If you live anywhere outside the very limited coverage area of the proprietary broadcast service from Dyle this device is of no use whatsoever. Go over the coverage area very carefully before ordering and make sure the signal is available in your area.

Keep in mind that even if the service is available in your area you might not get all the stations broadcasting there. Only stations partnered with Dyle will show up as available.

Also keep in mind this is the old IOS 30-pin connector. Newer Apple devices Will Not Work with this device. According to Belkin, the lightening adapter will not work.

Setup and use is fairly easy, just download the app and tell it where you live and it will tell you what (if any) stations are available.

A great idea that needs a whole lot of work before being practical.
