My old pump died because I let it run too long (topping off air on three vehicles without giving it a break). My only requirement was that I wanted one with auto-shut off (when it hits desired PSI) which this one has.
This one also has a button near the end of the connection line which can be pressed for bleeding off air. I guess this is good if you didn't have the dial set right and over inflated something.
Other reviews mention that the gauge isn't dead on accurate. I think this is the case with any of these lower end pumps with auto shut off. The main thing is just figuring out where to set the dial to get the desired results. I found it's then quite consistent. For example, if I set the red arrow on the pump dial to 40 and let it stop on its own, and I then check the pressure with a reliable gauge, it reads 35. I actually want 35 in my vehicles, so I just set it to 40 and it consistently fills to the desired psi. Close enough for government work! (I don't actually work for the government, but you get the idea)
