I don't know if the Kevlar is a gimmick, but I've put over 300 miles of riding gravel roads on them and still don't have a flat. This could be due to my extra thick 3.5mm tubes though... But I have noticed I don't have near as many thorns sticking to my tires, so maybe the Kevlar is doing something. I don't know. And as another reviewer mentioned, these are only 26x1.75--putting them on a wider rim might be pushing it.

They list them as compatible with 1.75 or 1.95 or 2.125, in actuality the tire itself is only 1.75.

I bought the tires displayed in the image 6 years back when Bell was making the smart move of having Cheng Shin Tire (CST) manufacture the tires for them. I rode those tires for 5,000 miles plus. I made a mistake taking them off. They had no purchase on the ground anymore because they were so worn, but they had only gotten a flat once!

The point is the pictures in the image are not the tires you will receive because Bell decided to cheap out and switched to some crap company called "Innova" for the manufacturing of the tires. I bought these and within 2 months the tread was gone. Absolute garbage. As of 05/14/14, the tires which you will receive will be this Innova garbage. So save yourself time and money and get a CST tire.

I had some concerns based on other reviews since I needed a 26x2.0 tire and the comment said it was a 1.75. The description stated the tire was rated 1.75 to 2.25 and felt it should work (and saw no reviews stating otherwise). I received the tires and found they worked very well for my application. The tire fit the rim correctly and installed easily. My inspection also seemed to indicate a quality tire. Excellent choice for a low cost tire. Would recommend.

I bought two tires. I put one on the rear wheel rim of my Schwinn. Tire is excellent quality. I feel confident riding on a Bell Glide tire. Price is reasonable. Tire was delivered folded in a box. The only downside is the strength it takes to pull this tire over the rim. I'm senior citizen age and struggled for an hour at least. This would be same situation with any bike tire so I'm only mentioning not trying to single out Bell. Tire must be tight for safety. If you lift heavy objects for a living and eat spinach daily seating the tire may be easy. Otherwise you might like to ask a strong pal for help. I recommend Bell GLIDE tire for paved road travel.

I returned these Bell tires. The width of the crossection seems to be about 1.75 or a smidge more. They might be fine tires but for a big and heavy rider like me, I wanted a wider tire. Tread pattern seems like it would be good for a street cruiser. I might put this tire on a kid's bike or a small adult's street bike. Not a mtn bike or a rider over 200 lbs.

Real nice tire. I love the tread design for my mountain all terrain bike. But, for some reason they were only able to ship me one tire. I ordered two. After waiting & waiting. I decided to go with a different brand from another seller. But it did look like a great tire. If you can get a pair. I'd say go for it.

Just fitted them here in the UK,(exactly the same model as US) no exact indication which width of tyre was packaged on the box but as other reviewers stated it turned out to be the narrowest 1.75! Very tight to get on the rims but with 55psi they seem to be ok to ride but certainly not a hard ride ,i like them!
