White/Black/Silver/Asphalt - They're all about 28 in long and 17 in wide under the armpits. I'm 5'8" and the shirts seem a bit long. Washing it might shrink an inch or so which will make it look better. These are all 100% cotton. To me, you could wear these with nice jeans when going out. You may need to iron since these are more prone to wrinkles than the mixed blend ones. The white shirt isn't that see through which is a good thing unlike the white slub shirt. That one is too see through for me... The colors aren't faded. Hopefully it stays this way after a wash. The quality does seem good.
Dark Grey Heather/Deep Heather - They're all about 28 in long and 17 in wide under the armpits. To me, they're a bit long. They're 52% cotton and 48% poly. I prefer these since they don't really wrinkle. They're the stretchy type of fabric and the colors aren't solid. They still have a nice color to them. The quality does seem good.
*I'm 5'8" and ~140 lbs.
I only wear v-necks, and I hunt for 100% cotton.
the only store that consistently has this is the Gap, but they are not consistently in their colours, often just primary or bright-neon colours, and I tend to wear earth-tones.
At the top of the page it clearly says: "Cotton 100% combed ringspun cotton."
When I received the item, it says it is basically a 60/40 split with polyester. I HATE POLYESTER.
So I read the whole page very carefully, and I consider this a sort of bait and switch.
"4.2 oz., 100% combed ringspun cotton; 30 singles ; Ash is 99/1; ; Athletic Heather 90/10; all other Heathers 52% combed ringspun cotton, 48% poly; Marble colors are 91% polyester, 9% combed ringspun cotton, 30 singles, 4 oz.; Neon colors are 52% combed ringspun cotton, 48% polyester, 40 singles, 3.6 oz.; Slub - 50% poly, 37.5% combed ringspun cotton, 12.5% rayon, 30 singles, 3.8 oz.; Black Mineral Wash is 52% combed ringspun cotton 48% poly, 30 singles, 4.2 oz.; sideseamed; shoulder taping; unisex sizing; retail fit;"
Ok, let's be extra harsh on me and assume I should be expected to read all this after being told it was 100% cotton at the top of the page. Perhaps put a bloody "100% cotton (some colour are blends)?"
It is not worth sending it back, I'll donate this to Good Will, and it will be appreciated by someone. Had this test shirt been true, I would have bought several dozen instantly.
It is made of the newer, softer and thinner t-shirt material. If you want a "beefy t," this isn't it.
The white/light striations in the material are more visible on all 3 tees than the image suggests. So, my son can't wear this, for example, with plaid shorts. But it looks great with solid color and denim shorts, and even patterned shorts whose pattern is more of a neutral due to color and/or scale.
The tees look stylish!
The v-neck is not too low. It is the current higher v-neck trend you see in mens' fashion now.
Washes well. Throw in the dryer.
I am 6'2 175lbs. slim frame but nice build. FOR ME I bought a size Large which is not too tight and not baggy at all but just right. It's slightly fitted. A Large is perfect to be used as a under shirt or a gym\workout shirt. I first bought a white Large just to make sure. It's not thick, thin, or cheaply made. To me it's just right for the purpose and for the price. I ordered 3 more size Large in white and 1 Asphalt. If you are over 6 ft and plan to wear this shirt as a outside on the go shirt I would suggest a XL. Once I received my first shirt, they sent me a 10% off coupon code to buy from some site. I suggest comparing the price "with" the coupon code on their website compared to Amazon and you'll see that buying direct from Amazon is still cheaper. Hope this review helps.
I am a female in the 21st century who works at least one job, washes her clothes and puts them in the dryer. I refuse to make time to fuss over high-maintenance, annoying clothing that requires fussy ridiculous care or isn't pre-shrunk if it's cotton. I have annoyingly sensitive skin, and I hate the feel of any synthetic fiber or "blend", which to me feels like cheap plastic or rubber. I am a big fan of cotton or linen or almost any other natural fiber next to my skin. I greatly appreciate it when clothiers realize that both my time and money are important, as in this case. I can't praise the perfect simplicity in function, look, design, feel and comfort of this product highly enough.
I do not waste time in clothing stores in one of the higher-priced than male "female" sections trying to decide what size and style to purchase based on what limited time-perishable fashions they provide to choose from on a weekly basis.
I do not buy pricier clothing that has the same time-proven, sub-par "country of origin" standards and non-practical or unrealistic care instructions (for a person of my not-too-rare lifestyle) as the cheaper-priced item of the same quality in another store. You don't always get what you pay for, and imported items over the last several years have lowered the standards people have come to expect.
I have found that most WOMEN'S shirts are:
1) Too short in the waist (some people are both ample up top AND long waisted/tall.) OR the shirts
2) Become so after washing and/or *GASP* drying in the DRYER.Read more ›
