About Ben Russell
Ben Russell is that dinosaur guy. Yes, there's a fossil skeleton overlooking the bed in his bedroom. Imagine what his wife thinks. He loves biblical creation and his inner child gets excited about dinosaurs and the idea that they're not millions of years old. Evolution? Ben says that's just a theory that turns people from God.
Ben is a family man. He and his lovely wife have four happy kids, a clowder of cats, a brood of chickens and a herd of hungry goats. They make their home among the roaming hills of the Missouri Ozarks. The Russells, not the animals. Well, they all live there together, but the animals live outside.
Ben writes Juvenile/Middle Grade Fiction Adventures when he's not chasing after chickens or building fences for his goats.

Blog postI was so excited to realize the potential of "Spirit Fighter", book #1 in Jerel Law's "Son of Angels, Jonah Stone Series". It is truly a gem and I highly recommend it!

Blog postJanuary 2019 Super Blood MoonMy family and I stayed up late Sunday night (January 20th 2019.) You may remember it as the night that the Patriots stole the Superbowl from the Chiefs. I remember it as the night that we all got to enjoy a super lunar eclipse.

Blog postEverybody is familiar with C.S. Lewis's series, The Chronicles of Narnia. Most have seen the movies. Some have read the entire series.
Others, like myself, love the series so much that they own all the movies, the books and even the audiobooks. I admit it, I love the Chronicles Of Narnia. But even I had never read his cosmic trilogy about space exploration. That is, until recently.

Blog postIf you like Kingdom's Dawn, the first book from the kingdom of Arrethtrae, then you'll definitely enjoy Kingdom's Hope. Chuck Black's second book continues an excellent story that still mirrors Bible history. What I like so much about this series is the author's overall reminder of why we're all here, why we exist.

Blog postMy oldest son started a new curriculum this year and one of the books that he's supposed to read is The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer. Being the fun Dad that I am, I thought it would be cool for the whole family to enjoy this book together. I got the audiobook from Audible and we all listened to it in the car during a family trip.

Blog postOne of the fun parts about being an author is book marketing. I've been trying to "teach" Amazon what category my "Noah Drake And The Dragon" series belongs to and what other series are similar. This means I get to read some great books! The most recent is titled The Door Within by Wayne Thomas Batson.

Blog post(Is it bad that Will Smith's Summer Time song still rings in my memory when I think about summer?)
I sure hope you're enjoying your summer! We have been to Gramee's pool as much as possible and I'm doing my best to not work outside too much. (I'm so sorry if you have to work in this heat and humidity. If so, please enjoy your local pool!)
During my last email I mentioned that I was participating in a couple of summer book giveaways during July and Au7 months ago Read more -
Blog postMy family and I love reading books together. What makes it better is when the stories lean towards Christian values or have Biblical paralles. I love it when they even include scripture. That just knocks my socks off.
Below is a list of my current top 10 Christian fiction reads. These are books that my family and I have enjoyed recently, though two are still on the reading list to finish. All of these are fun for kids, teens and even young adults, plus th1 year ago Read more -
Blog postYou're going to love On The Edge Of The Dark Sea Of Darkness. It's a fun and imaginative story that I really enjoyed. The opening preface really draws you in with it's humor. It's very snarky and goofy and it gave me several good laughs. The preface is written differently from the rest of the book, but it's all still good!

Blog postI was recently blessed with a major course that teaches me a lot of things that I can do to increase my books' marketing and selling power on Amazon. It's focuses mostly on little tweaks that I can do to make sure that my book is attractive and that I'm promoting it to the right crowd.
I've been very successful selling paperbacks to family, friends and the surrounding community. When people hear about my books, it usually peaks their interest and they'd like to get a copy. And it soun1 year ago Read more -
