He also has an XB271H 27" 1080p G-Sync 144Hz monitor. I have to say that 144Hz on both monitors is amazing and you can really see the difference between that and 60Hz when you play games.
The G-Sync though, neither one of us can really see the effects of that so he keeps it turned off. Maybe it's good for pro gamers, but for most casual gamers you can skip the G-Sync and put the cash towards a high refresh rate and/or a bigger screen like this BenQ.
With all of this being said, my only problem with this monitor is the amount of dead pixels that have shown up with only 2 day's use. At first, I didn't notice them. But dead pixels to me are one of those things that when I do notice them, they start to bug me incessantly. Now I can't stop looking at them. I don't know if this is a common problem or not, and I can't complain because again, for the price, this monitor is amazing. I don't intend on sending it back because I believe it's something I should be able to get used to, and sending products back is a pain in the ass.
Definitely would have gotten 5 stars if not for this dead pixel problem.
If you're looking for a gaming monitor for immersion, or something that just makes everything look great, on a budget, then this is the monitor for you. I just hope you don't have the same problem I did.
