I have suffered from allergies my whole life. As a child my parents took me to an Allergist for testing and treatment. In those days,I had to receive six (yes,6) injections in each arm to control my allergies. I am one of those people who is practically allergic to everything except food; for example: animal hair, mold, dust, perfumes, most soaps, detergents, plants, trees.......and the list goes on and on. My allergies are so bad that I was always told to remove all "dust collectors" like curtains, stuffed animals, and anything else that might just sit around and collect dust.
As an adult, I continued to see an Allergist regularly. I tried shots again (only 1 shot was necessary),and my body had a very negative reaction to the shot. I started to pass out. Luckily I was in the Allergy Center at a local hospital, and they knew exactly what to do. Since that incident, I refused any more allergy shots. After that, I took a single prescription drug my Doctor prescribed for me for many years that did help me. Once it went over-the-counter, I simply purchased it in the store leaving my allergist appointments behind me. One day this medicine stopped working and I had no idea what to do. I looked for a substitute, but was afraid of the new allergy medications that were being introduced left and right. One day I saw a box of Benadryl. Remembering my Doctor suggesting it to me many years ago, I tried it with no fear of any side effects. Benadryl had never bothered me before. To my surprise it worked very well. Even though I know there is nothing to cure these annoying allergies, I have continued with Benadryl as my product to control my many symptoms.
I am actually very happy with this product today after knowing about it for so many years. I order it from Amazon.com on a regular basis. The price and quantity are the best deal I have found so far. Of course I am not a Doctor, and I would suggest that anyone suffering from allergies go and see an Allergist before taking any medications like I did. I am convinced that Benadryl is an excellent choice for the relief of my many allergy symptoms.
I use Benadryl for occasional use when I cannot sleep. I do have allergies, but using Benadryl for allergies would make me sleepy all day.
Benadryl is also known as Diphenhydramine, and it is an antihistamine. Of note, Benadryl is a banned substance in Zambia if you are thinking of traveling to that country. Benadryl is used to treat sneezing; runny nose; itching, watery eyes; hives; rashes; itching; and other symptoms of allergies and the common cold. Benadryl is also used to suppress coughs, to treat motion sickness, to induce sleep, and to treat mild forms of Parkinson's disease. It seems to be a drug for many uses.
Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. Benadryl may cause dizziness or drowsiness. If you experience dizziness or drowsiness, avoid these activities. Use alcohol cautiously. Alcohol may increase drowsiness and dizziness while taking Benadryl.
Benadryl comes in a dose of 25 mg for over the counter use. Use cautiously. If you are over 60, you may be more susceptible to side effects.
Have kept Benadryl a staple in my home for many years. Not only is it good for allergies, but one never knows when someone may have an allergic reaction to some food, etc. in your presence or home. Had someone have an allergic reaction to one of the foods on my menu, had it not been for having Benadryl in my home, he may have had a more serious outcome to his reaction. Benadryl is the firt OTC medication that I use on allergic reactions. No, I'm not a doctor, but have been advised by RNs and doctors to use this product as a first action in the event of allergic reactions. The price point of this product where I usually purchsase it was really not good (Costco). This Seller's price point was phenomenal! The delivery was equally good. Would recommend Benadryl in every household because one never knows. Would recommend this Seller for future purchases.
The blister packs are almost impossible to tear open; I avoid them at all costs. Had I realized that was how these were wrapped rather than them being bottled, I would not have ordered them...nor will I reorder them if they only come in this packaging.
I was taking prescription Ambien for insomnia but was having a hard time waking up. A friend recommended Benadryl so I gave it a try. Am now getting my beautyrest without the morning fog or horrible nightmares. As a plus I give my dogs half a pill to calm them down before taking them to the groomer. Also, my dog stepped on a bee and got stung. She started to swell up and I immediately called the emergency vet who told me to give her a Benadryl and rush her in. The Benadryl likely saved her life. A must have for pet owners too!
These are absolutely fine. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that the original picture from which I ordered showed that the pills were in a bottle instead of boxes. The way they are manufactured makes them very difficult to get into. This, of course, is no fault of the seller, but they were shown in a bottle. Recommend!!
Back in January of this year I bought quite of bit of Benadryl in hopes that I would not have to run around during ragweed season. Unfortunately I did not buy enough and I had to go running around Philadelphia looking for Benadryl. I was able to get some liqui-gels but no ultratabs. I even had one pharmacy tell me that there is no more Benadryl and that I had to buy generic. That evening I went to amazon and found Benadryl in this large size. I ordered two bottles and they came a couple of days later.
