Yvonne Daley is the author of more than 5000 news, feature and magazine stories that have appeared in Time, Life, People, the Boston Globe, the San Jose Mercury News, the Rutland Herald and dozens of other publications. She is the author of three books, An Independent Man (with Senator James Jeffords), Vermont Writers: A State of Mind, and most recently Octavia Boulevard, a tale of homelessness, excess and conflict set in a San Francisco neighborhood undergoing gentrification. She divides her time between San Francisco, where she is a professor of Journalism at San Francisco State University, and Vermont, where she directs the Green Mountain Writers Conference.
