Top Customer Reviews
All in all, great company and good product. I would recommend over Nylabone because of its shape as well as customer service.
- The dog loves it!
- Easy for her to hold by herself.
- Easy for me to hold if she decides she wants me to "help."
- Encourages appropriate chewing.
- Isn't as sharp when you accidentally step on one in the middle of the night, like the other brands. I suspect it is better for their gums too!
- Green packaging is super easy to get off. No plastic.
- Not sold in stores near me...yet. I'm going to show my local vet and training facility. Maybe they will show interest.
UPDATED REVIEW: 6/15/2016
Our dog chewed on it for about an hour then stopped, BUT, after a couple weeks or so, he started one day and won't stop. He has been chewing on it daily. So, I had to come back and update my review to reflect this. You can also see the image below chewed on. I didn't think he would even go back to it, but it really has been chewed on daily. Even our little dog will shew on it sometimes.
So, yeah, I do recommend this wishbone chew bone. If your dog does not chew on it right away, just keep giving it to him/her and eventually I'm sure your dog will start. These are great for cleaning their teeth.
EDIT: I am changing this review from 1 start to 5 stars because the company gave me full refund and did not make me go through the hassle of shipping it back. So i ended up giving the two bones to my neighbor and his dogs love it. They will not stop chewing on it until he takes it away. Its been two weeks and they chew on it all the time and it will probably take them at least a month to go through the bone.
My dogs didnt like it but it is probably because they are spoiled. I am changing my review because the company has great customer service and while there is a chance your dog may not like the bone they will be happy to refund you if that is the case. Also based on other reviews most dogs do like them and my neighbor's dogs love the bones so its not fair that i gave them 1 star review just because my dogs dont like it.
Update 7/18/14: Just purchased my 6th Benebone. The previous 5 are holding up well. They are in various degrees of "chew-ation." The nubs are worn down to assorted taper shapes and bumps, but my Bullies still love em. Sometimes I smear a little peanut butter on the roughened surfaces to give them an extra treat. My girls show no interest in any of their old Nylabone, and Antler chews, which works for me! I gave them to a Scout, who was collecting them for an Eagle Scout Project, to be donated to the local animal shelter. Thanks friends at Benebone! For this intelligently designed Doggie Chew!
Update 4/21/15: Have made my 6th purchase of Benebone's. My girls are crazy about these things. I have also purchased them for a friend's dog, as a gift. Their just that good. I hope Benebone's will be around for years to come, as they have made my girls very happy, and I don't plan on disappointing them!
