Love this water filter. We've been purchasing bottled water and did some research. We read how bad watered bottle is for you. It's a multi million dollar rip off. There may be a few good ones out there but come to find out our water source isn't. In fact the worse. And I live in the Sierra Mountains where we can not drink our local water company water due to much contaminates. So we read up on Berkey and found it to be a very good water filter. The water tastes wonderful. One thing I did read on a review, not on this site but somewhere is that you need to buy a primer. This one came with a simple primer and is easy to use. I have to mail the primer I ordered back and pay shipping. Oh well. I recommend this product. Oh - Oh and don't over fill it. YIPES! It will leak. I waited till the reservoir dropped in the main compartment and went to fill it up again to the top of the filters. Don't do that. Maybe you can fill it half way on the filters. Still learning.
