Berlin Girl: Her Story ... 1929 - 1952 Paperback – July 1, 2012
About the Author
Ken Cashion is primarily a historian who cannot resist the opportunity for research and the telling of a story that might be lost for all time if not for him and his diligence for truth. Even though the subject of “Berlin Girl” was a very private person, he befriended her and she learned to trust him and tell him anything he needed to record her story. He collected family photographs and spoke with Berlin friends and the subject’s brother in Germany. Mr. Cashion’s principle occupation was a 37-year engineering career, during which he wrote myriad scientific papers and technical procedures; the last 27 years were with NASA. He holds two patents through NASA. Additionally, he has had nonfiction articles in the national press and, as a historian and Anglophile, has made five trips to Britain for a total of 30 weeks. As a result of his archaeological field work he has written and taught three college courses on the social history of Britain from 500,000 B.C. to 1700 A.D. As a professional photographer of 58 years, his images have been seen in many publications. Mr. Cashion continues his writing and research in a small, quiet South Mississippi town where he lives with his wife, Bettie.
