As for keeping the cold out, no problems. I leave home before the sun comes up & the temperatures are in the mid-30's. The hood is a fantastic feature & it looks great up or down. The color is just what I wanted, along with the dark brown ribbed wrists & waist-band. Overall, a good deal. I just need to relax/soften up the outer material. If you have any ideas, please send them to me. Thanks, JWWJ
On the inside right of the zipper is a pocket that fits my LG G4 in an Otter Box. In addition, there is another pocket on top of this that is about 4 inches deep and maybe 3 inches wide with a Velcro tab to keep it shut. On the opposite side of the zipper there is another pocket that's much bigger than the ones in the right that has a zipper to make sure whatever is in it stays in. This one is about 7 inches by 7 inches.
Although I haven't tested it, it does appear to have a water resistant quality. Water beads up on the outer surface.
One downside I've found is the front pockets aren't quite as insulated as the rest of the jacket leaving something to be desired in terms of warmth on my hands. All in all, this is quite a decent jacket
