"The most refreshing thing about the Bernie Sanders Guide is the most refreshing thing about Bernie Sanders the politician: a seemingly total lack of condescension." ―The Slate Book Review
"Sanders’s passion for the political process is evident . . . a must-have for every collection." ―VOYA, starred review
About the Author
Bernie Sanders ran as a Democratic candidate for President of the United States in 2015 and 2016. He served as mayor of Burlington, Vermont’s largest city, for eight years before defeating an incumbent Republican to be the sole congressperson for the state in the U.S. House of Representatives in 1991. He was elected to the Senate in 2007 and is now in his second term, making him the longest-serving independent in the history of the Congress. He lives in Burlington, Vermont, with his wife, Jane, and has four children and seven grandchildren.

What's really great about this book is that it's a quick, and easy read that's an outline of Bernie Sanders ideology on how to fix the most important problems facing the United States today. Senator Sanders gives examples of each problem, and present ways to fix each of them.
Because of the way this book is structured, I think its focus is on people who really don't know about what or where Bernie stands on the issues. But, Guide to Political Revolution should also be read by people who know where Bernie Sanders stands on the issues. Because, Guide to Political Revolution gives a quick overview of his agenda.
The general theme among said comments is that socialism has destroyed every country it's touched, which is not only a straw man but also false. Sanders has long advocated for a social-democratic system (which is capitalist, not socialist) – one that has been implemented to moderate-to-excellent success in Canada, Australia and many European countries – but these smearers only cite fringe-example countries like Venezuela and Cuba, which are hard-line dictatorships and a very perverted representation of any ideology they claim to be about.
Pick up this book and judge it for its merits – not based on preconceived extreme-right talking points.
For a more in depth discussion (and minor history lesson), I recommend Bernie's other book: Our Revolution.
