I was given a copy of this book in return for an honest review
If you’ve been reading my review for the past few years, you will understand how emotional I get over my favorite books. This series has been a wonderful example to my family. Because of the wonderful examples in this series, we strive harder to recycle, repair,re-use, and re-learn.
Someday, if I ever get the opportunity, I’d love to convert a couple of silos into a quiet, little writer’s retreat for myself, but also for other writers in my family who need time away from everyone, in order to get a project finished.
Berry On Top does a superb job of portraying the hurt and anguish Liz feels . . . coming home, and coming face-to-face with Mason again. Will she ever be able to get past the hurt?
You won’t know until you read the book. Not only does Valerie bring their story to light, but any other problems are resolved, too, in one way or another.
But I’m not going to give away too much and spoil the book for you. Read it. Just read it.
My very best advice to you is to read the entire series – as soon as possible. Start with book one – Raspberries and Vinegar. You can download it on your e-reader for free! Once you finish it, you’ll be in a hurry to read the rest of the series.
Each story in this series is romantic, encouraging, and inspiring — with down-to-earth advice for all who read them. Take it from me, you won’t forget the characters, the good sense, and the helpful advice.
And maybe, just maybe, you’ll be encouraged to start your own farm fresh way of life.
God bless you!
I give this book 5 stars and a must read the whole series. They all have a inspirational message in them on different struggles.
Received a ARC Copy in exchange for a honest review.
We meet Jo and Sierra fighting an inundation of mice in their trailer as the first book in the series opens. The story continues through all six books as other battles are fought, as straw buildings, tents, and more normal quarters are occupied, as the family grows, as soil and precious relationships are cultivated. So when I began this final book I was looking forward to joining my friends as I used to look forward to summers when I went to visit Gramma and Grandpa and the cousins. For as I have read I have not remained a stranger and unrelated to Liz, Zach, Claire, Mason, and the rest. At least I am an adopted cousin.
You may begin anywhere as all of the books stand whole and complete by themselves. But I encourage you to begin at the beginning and enjoy walking along with these folks as I have. The first Kindle book in the series has been offered as a free gift since I obtained it about a year ago. (I just checked, and it still is.)
Five stars means that the style invites me in, and I do not stumble over spelling errors, awkward expressions, a plot that is disjointed or does not flow well. I read to experience and be drawn into meaningful relationships, including the struggles, trouble, and disappointments that we all are born to as well good times, celebrations, and quiet joys. The cherry on top is when the story extends through a number of volumes. In each I meet up again with my old friends and gain some new ones too.

The characters are likable and the story is so real that it makes you sad to get to the end.Read more
I enjoyed this audio book very much. Mason and Liz threw each other years ago and she had left home because of him.Read more
