Where is Season 3?

I know it's not in production, but that's what I want to put forth - I want to see season 3. I really hope there is some news about it soon (catching up on the magna). I've watch Season 1, 2, and all of the Arc's, between the animation and coloring, its exquisite. I'm a fan of not just how the plot goes but how the animation has been done. It's gritty, harsh, and retains the 'sketched' look throughout the series, to which some people have voiced vehement revulsion. How it's presented is almost as important as the plot - you feel the time period and as the motion speeds up, it becomes streaky and unclean, just like Guts' fighting style. This is an anime tailored to adults along the line of some of the live-action gladiator series that have been produced for Pay-Per-View channels, earning the MA rating. If you are a fan of Ninja Scroll or animes like it, this is right up your alley. I've binged it a few times (24 episodes total plus three movie-length Arcs), the episodes are relatively short so you can go through it fairly quickly but there is high replay value when you watch the Arcs either before or after the series. The Arcs they tell the story of the Blessed King of Longing and how he came to be, where in the Anime tells the story of Guts after the conclusion of the Arcs. I would recommend watching at least the first Arc before purchasing the season, they are free on some streaming sites but can be rented on Amazon (just to make sure you like/can accept the animation in the series, it's not for everyone). Watching the Arcs before the anime will give you more background and can provide better platform to associate the flashbacks included in the series (they reference and sometimes have been stripped directly from the Arcs). I honestly can't wait for season 3. Be sure to watch the Arcs first.

Though the animation has hindered my enjoyment of this new series, I appreciate that the Berserk property is still being produced in some form as the manga series releases have become very few and far between in recent years. The action and dialogue in this anime series follows the manga very closely and there is hope that the animation will get better as the last episode in this season has less use of the weird 3D animation effects and looks a bit more traditional. For fans of the series and completionists, I would recommend, the artwork on the packaging is great although there aren't really any inserts of note. You get bluray and DVD versions of the series. I don't think you need to go out and get the limited set which seems rather over-priced for fold-out panel artwork, this should do just fine and hopefully moving these units (aka buying them up) shows there is a want for it from it's fan base and helps continue the Berserk series production.

Fantastic Season 2; Love This Series

I don't get the hate on this series; I absolutely love it. It does look unique; it looks 3d cell-shaded and there are quite a few parts where there is no frame movement, static scenes... but they make it work well and it gives the series a unique feel, in a good way in my opinion. If this is the result of low budget and was the only way to release these last two seasons, I'd take it any day; and honestly I think I'd be against changing the style going forward (not that anyone said they would).

Story is fantastic; I find it very engaging. I wish the episodes were longer as they seem to just fly by. Do yourself a favor and give the series a shot; that is if you're an adult and like violence and gore and nudity. I'd say all of those are in above average proportions; but it's exactly what I wanted.

This does have English dub; voice-over is good. Actually some of the character voices are great/nailed, some so-so, none are horrible.

I personally can't wait to see more and hope they continue this series; the new characters and back-stories of some of those characters introduced in season 1 are alone worth the price for me; meaning Farnese in particular...whose story and character development I just can't get enough of.

This is a departure from the Original Berserk released several decades ago. However, it is an awesome edition to any fan's library. The same voice-actors reprise their original roles, and this story actually follows the manga more closely than the original. At the same time, this rendition of the story is a bit heavy on CGI, but it does not take away too much from the overall quality.
