Having said that, there were a few standouts. My favorites: "Festered Wounds" by Nancy Pauline Simpson, "Princess Anne" by Jim Allyn, "The Wrecker" by Ernest Finney, "Small Kingdoms" by Charlane Harris, and "Rough Deeds" by Annie Proulx.
