From the trusted Steven Raichlen brand, these skewers have been satisfying Amazon customers for over 10 years. Common wood skewers pose all sorts of problems. However, these stainless skewers are flat, sturdy and extra wide. They are made to hold a lot of food. Chunks of beef, pork, fish and even wet vegetables like tomatoes and mushrooms won't slip or spin as they do on conventional skewers. Turn these skewers without worrying about losing food on the grill. Unlike ordinary wood skewers, these all-metal handles won't burn. Each skewer measures 3/8 inch wide by 17 inches long. These skewers are dishwasher safe, although hand washing will extend their usable life.
Caution
Skewers get hot. Use caution when handling. An oven mitt or heat-resistant gloves are recommended. These skewers measure 3/8 inch wide and work best with larger chunks of food.
Care
Dishwasher-safe. If hand washing, dry immediately.
Recipe
In a large resealable plastic bag, mix teriyaki sauce, honey, garlic powder, and ginger. Place red bell peppers, onion wedges, mushrooms, beef, and chicken in the bag with the marinade. Seal, and refrigerate 4 to 24 hours.
Preheat grill for medium-high heat.
Discard marinade, and thread the meat and vegetables onto skewers, leaving a small space between each item.
Lightly oil grill grate. Grill skewers for 10 minutes, turning as needed, or until meat is cooked through and vegetables are tender.

Kebabs are a great food in my opinion -- delicious yet easy, fast and fairly inexpensive (depending on the meat you choose, of course!). It usually takes me about 30 minutes to get a marinade together and prepare the meat, then I let them sit in the fridge for a day or so.
