Pop My Cherry Review
"This is a really great book full of really awesome kink. There is some spanking, some public humiliation, some total power exchange featured within. I highly recommend this book because I really enjoy a good bondage story whether the bondage is real or imagined. This book featured some very sexy players enjoying some very hot kink. I enjoyed the variety."

"Rachel Kramer Bussel ... returns with a collection of dark delights for those of us who take a walk on the wild side and those who want to venture there. ... The stories presented here are easily adapted to real life scenarios, so don't just think of it as a collection of well written erotica by some of the best writers of the genre; instead, think of it as an instruction manualIntro to Bondage... Each story is carefully crafted to yank on our lusts (no pun intendedor perhaps it is) and I can imagine Bussel having a hard time selecting which to use. Collected here, however, are the best bondage erotica that the year has to offer."

From the Back Cover
Whether you prefer a tough top with shiny handcuffs, the tug of rope on your skin, or the sound of your lover's command, Rachel Kramer Bussel serves your needs. Her Best Bondage Erotica 2012 imagines all the ways you can get your kink on with stories of spanking, corsetry, rubber, cross-dressing, handcuffs and BDSM play that push into new and exquisitely delightful territory. Helen Sedgwick's narrator is overcome by the unbearable intoxication of submission in "Cumaná," and a reluctant participant in Giselle Renarde's "Dry Rub" learns that the body never lies when it comes to pleasure. A dominant woman comes into her own erotic power in Teresa Noelle Roberts's "Suffer for Me," Shoshana Evers's intriguing "Melting Ice" is a lesson in anticipation and self-bondage. As Midori advises in her foreword, "Share this book with your lover...or lover-to-be."
With contributed stories by Shoshana Evers, Elizabeth Coldwell, Andrea Dale, A.R. Shannon, Lucy Felthouse, Salome Wilde, Elise Hepner, Kay Jaybee, Teresa Noelle Roberts, Giselle Renarde, Craig J. Sorensen, Elizabeth Silver, Billey Thorunn, Helen Sedgwick, Lana Fox, Tenille Brown, Kathleen Tudor, Valerie Alexander, Lolita Lopez, Neil Gavriel, and Rachel Kramer Bussel.

There has been a criticism of the collection because the bdsm is predominantly female domination (Femdom) of mostly male partners (9 out of the 21 stories - see below), but there are only slightly fewer male domination stories (8/21). The bias, if there is any, is that the majority of the writers are women (even for a M/M story). In my opinion, the gender of the authors does not affect the quality or the themes of the stories. It just may happen that there are more women than men writers of bondage erotica. Some of the authors have made contributions to previous collections.
The other criticism of the book is that the bondage and bdsm is light and mostly rope bondage. Besides being an easily obtained bondage device, rope bondage takes time to apply. The writers have used the setup time to explore the feelings of both the dominant and submissive partners or the solitary individual in self-bondage. This is the strength of the collection: feelings about dominance and submission are explored, however briefly (because of the story length). The stories have an insight into how the characters entice or nudge their partners into the risky but arousing acts of bondage, and how it enhances the intimacy of their relationships.

In Teresa Noelle Roberts's "Suffer for Me," we learn that bondage isn't just rope and leather. That our restraints can be mental as well as physical. We also learn that being climatically controlled can cause the same yearning arousal that handcuffs and servitude bring. And best of all, it also teaches us to remember that tingling sensation of concentrated lust time and again.
In "Melting Ice," Shoshanna Evers informs us that a bondage fantasy doesn't have to have two people. A pair of handcuffs and an ice cube is all Amanda Scott needs to get rocks off.
Kay Jaybee pushes us further from just experimenting with the kinkier side of sex in "The Cupboard Under the Stairs," when a dominate invites someone else into their sex chamber.
And Elizabeth Silver brings in the gothier side of BDSM in "Laced," as a bartender sees a friend in a light he's never seen him before.
Each story is carefully crafted to yank on our lusts (no pun intended - or perhaps it is) and I can imagine Bussel having a hard time to select which to use. Collected here, however, are the best bondage erotica that the year has to offer. I'm on the edge to see what's in store for next year.
Sometimes the purpose of binding here is to tease, sometimes to inflict that oh so good hurt, and sometimes just to get exactly what you want. There are stories like Salome Wilde's "The Spider and the Fly," "Laced" by Elizabeth Silver, and Kathleen Tudor's "Knot Alone" which focus largely on the bondage itself, while others use their ropes and cuffs, etc as simply a very satisfying means to an end. "Dry Rub" by Giselle Renarde is a prime example of this.
There are stories also that quite effectively explore the vulnerability and soul exposure that both lovers experience within the confines of bondage. My favorite of these was "Worth Redemption" in which Craig J Sorenson writes, "Your body opened wide like grand double doors to a temple."
Overall, the writing was really exceptional and I would like to share a sentence that particularly struck me from each story. There may be some ***SPOILERS*** in this section, so be warned.Read more ›
